Hold On To The Inside - Twentythree

***Two days before Thanksgiving***

"There are the happy parents now. Good day to you Mr. and Mrs. Timberlake," the nurse states.

"Hello, they ready to go?" JC smiles.

"Yes," the doctor states. "How is the mother doing?"

"I'm good. Ready to take my babies home."

"Good, that's good to hear."

The nurse walks out with a baby in her arms, "I'm gonna need some help carrying them out here."

Justin and JC both walk into the nursery, pick up a baby and walk back out.

"I missed them." JC says looking down at Rose.

"Jayce. We were here yesterday, all day."

"I know, but I still missed them. It'll be nice to know that they are right there in the house with us."

"Come on, let's get these little ones home. Your mom is gonna think something has happened to us and call out the search and rescue teams."

"Hey."

"I'm kidding Jayce. Let's go home." Justin smiles taking the baby from the nurse. "Just let me put these angels in the car then I'll come back for all their stuff."

They head out to the car, "J? I think we're gonna have to start taking my truck when we take the babies."

"Yeah, this thing just isn't gonna cut it is it?" He looks at his prowler.

"I can't believe we got all three carseats in that thing."

"I can't either. You get Rose all settled in then take these two and I'll go get their bags."

"Ok," JC smiles. "Make sure you get the nurse to tell you when they ate last and what kind of formula they've been using."

"Why?"

"Cuz, if we change their formula, it'll hurt their little tummies. And you'll get the priveledge of changing 'all' the dirty diapers."

"Ooooh. I'll make sure and ask that one. I have a feeling that with three babies there will be plenty of dirty diapers, don't need to cause any more than necessary."

"Good, now go. I got these two." JC smiles and swats Justin's ass. Justin walks away, "Ok, you three, you be good little angels til we get home. There are so many people there to see you. Gramma is there, along with Uncle Tyler, Joey, Chris and Aunt Heather. Even Grampa Roy is there."

"Sweetie, you about ready?" Justin comes up behind JC. "What were you telling them?"

"I was just telling them who was gonna be there to see them."

Justin hugs JC, "It'll be ok. Everyone is so happy for us."

JC sighs, "Yeah. Everybody."

"Baby, what's got you upset?"

"I just thought your mom would have been here."

"She's out of the country with Innosense. She'll be here when she gets back."

"Are you so sure about that? She didn't seem too happy when you told her about us. Does she even know that I'm who I am?"

"No. She was so suprised that I'd gotten married, I just couldn't... Baby...please don't cry. Come on, get in the car and we'll go home."

"Ok." JC quietly gets in the car with tears still streaming down his cheeks. "I'm sorry J. I don't know why I'm so upset."

Justin takes JC's hand, "Let's get these little ones home. Then maybe we can sneak away for a little time just for the two of us."

JC smiles, "I'd really like that."

"So would I Josh."

They drive the rest of the way in silence except for the occasional gurgle from one of the babies. They pull into the driveway and front door to their house flies open, a rush of people filing out.

"Finally," Karen says opening JC's door. She helps JC out of the car then reaches in for the first baby, "There's my little angels." She stands up, hands Josh Jr over to Roy, reaches in and gets Rose.

Lance is on the other side of the car getting Justin Jr out, "Man, if there were any doubts about who the father of these babies were, this one sure would be a dead give away. Look at his hair, it's just like Justin's."

The group makes their way back inside and Karen immediately takes over, "Joshua, you need to go lay down. You look pale. Justin take her upstairs and make her get some rest."

"But mom," JC tries.

"Don't argue with me son. I'll make sure the babies are fine. You go get some rest. You won't be any good to these little ones if you end up back in the hospital."

"Ok mom. I'm going."
