JC's Secret Life - Chapter Two

JC and Lance finished cleaned JC's apartment, Lance rode with JC to the studio where they met Justin, Joey, and Chris.

"So," Joey begins, pulling Lance to the side, as JC heads into the sound booth. "What really happened to JC's apartment?"

"I don't know yet. He still won't tell me. But he promised to tell me when we get back to his place."

"Good, and you'll call us as soon as you get home, right?" Justin asked.

"I don't know if I'll be going home. I might be staying there tonight." Lance smiled.

"What? What are you talking about?" Chris inquired.

"I said..."

"We heard what you said. Why would you being staying at JC's house instead of going home?" Joey stated.

"Because..."

"Guys? Do you plan on getting any work done today or not?" JC questioned from the doorway of the sound booth.

"Yeah. We're coming. Hold your horses JC." Justin responded. "Yes, master." Justin joked.

JC smiled at Lance, "Now that's how I like it."

"Oh please," Justin said.

They each recorded their pieces to the song of choice for the day and then broke up for the evening.

"So," Justin started. "What you doing tonight JC?"

"I'm gonna try to finish cleaning up the mess that I currently call home. What about the rest of you?"

"I'm gonna go visit Kelly," Joey responded. "And the baby."

"That's sweet."

"I've got some stuff I gotta go over with Dani about FuMan." Chris answered.

"I'm going over to my mom's. She's got another group she wants me to check out. Probably another opening act for next summer. I sure hope one of these damn acts catch on pretty soon. I'm getting kinda tired of dragging her crappy ass acts along with us on tour every year, and then the next year they're gone, vanished."

"Oh, stop it Justin." Lance admonished. "Innosense was good. They just couldn't find an audience."

"They sucked, Lance and you know it." Justin growled.

"Whoa, Justin. Calm down. I agree with you but we can't exactly tell her no when we're dragging acts from Lance's company and now this time around we got one from Chris' that's supposed to be joining us."

"Yeah, I still don't like it. She's using us and it's kinda pissing me off."

"It's ok, Justin. At least with these acts, we get a chance to get to know them a bit before we have to hit the road with them. Unlike the one's Jive hits us with."

"True. Alright I guess I better go. Talk to you guys tomorrow. What time we gotta be here?"

"Not til the afternoon, one o'clock I think." Lance responds.

"Yep, one o'clock. That's what I booked us for." JC answers.

Justin walked off. Lance turns to JC, "So you wanna get something to eat before we head back to your house and you reveal your great secret?"

"I'd really love to get something to eat. I feel like I haven't eaten in days."

"Well, then we'll do that. What you hungry for?"

"Um, hmmm...Let me think...How about Chinese?" JC smiles.

"Sounds good to me."

"Great. There's a cool place down the street from my house."

"Perfect."

They ride the rest of the way to the restaurant in comfortable silence. Upon arrival at the restaurant JC parks the car and zips to the other side of the Jeep to open the door for Lance.

"Why thank you, kind sir."

"You're most welcome."

"You know I'm really gonna enjoy this dating thing if you're gonna treat me like this all the time."

(We'll see about that.) "I sure hope you do. I plan on treating you quite well." JC replied.

"Good. I expect to be treated like a king."

"Hey, now. Don't be getting all pushy on me. I love you but don't expect too much of me. You know exactly what I'm like. Don't expect more than that of me, Lance."

"Nah, you've always treated the women you dated pretty well. You treat me like that and we'll get along just fine. As far as I know you didn't cheat on any of them, did you?"

"No, and I don't plan on starting any new trends now. You can relax, I'm a one man man."

"Ok, Jayce, that was a bit corny."

"Yeah, but you liked it."

"True. So are we gonna go inside or stand out here all night?" Lance asked.

"I suppose we should probably go in and get some food."

"Yep, you can quit stalling now, cuz I haven't forgotten about our deal from earlier."

"Deal, what deal?" JC teased nervously.

"The deal where you tell me your secret and I help you pick out a couch tomorrow morning."

"Oh, that deal. You know, I think you're getting the better end of that deal."

"I'm sure I am, but you agreed. Plus, if you're really good, maybe I'll spend the night." Lance stated raising an eyebrow.

"Really? Well now I think I'm getting the better end of the deal."

"Can I help you?" The hostess asks. Then realizes who they are and escorts them to a quiet booth in the back of the restaurant.

"So..." JC started.

"Yeah, so what do we talk about til we get back to the house?" Lance asks.

"How long have you had these feelings?" JC asks waving his hand between himself and Lance.

"For a long time. Years in fact." Lance hedged.

"Years. Wow! How come you never said anything to me before today?"

"Because, although you always wear those weird ass clothes, you have always had a woman on your arm so you kinda threw me for a loop. I didn't think you were gay, to be honest."

"Well, you need to get your gaydar fixed then baby, cuz this boy is 100% gay. Not even a remote amount of bi in here, baby."

"Yeah, now that you say it. It's kinda been obvious. It's just that you having a woman all the time diverts the attention a bit."

"Yep, that was the intention sweetie. Keep people guessing."

"Well, I think you had everyone guessing baby."

"As long as the fans don't find out, I don't really care who else knows. I'm kinda tired of hiding it. If I didn't think we'd get death threats and shit I wouldn't even bother hiding from the fans. I'd come out the next time we did Rosie. You know what I'm saying?"

"Yep, I hear ya. I feel the same."

Their food arrived and they ate it with minimal small talk. JC pays the check and they make their way back to the Jeep.

"So you gonna make me wait 'til we get back to the house or can you tell me now?" Lance asked.

"I think this is something we're both gonna need to be sitting down for."

"Is this like a major, life altering announcement you have to make to me JC?"

"Yes, and that's all I'm gonna say on that til we get back to the house so stop asking. I said I'd tell you and I will."

"I know. I'm just really curious. I'm sorry, I'll stop pestering." Lance states sheepishly. "Finally, we're here."

JC opens the front door and walks to the kitchen, "You want anything to drink Lance?"

"Yeh. I'll take some water, thanks."

"No problem. Go ahead and make yourself comfortable."

"Ok." Lance sits in the only chair in the living room that isn't torn to shreds.

"Here you go." JC says while handing over a bottled water.

"Sit down Jayce. Now, tell me what is really going on around here. These tears were not created by Baron. Neither was any of the other damage done to your house. What exactly has been going on with you?"

"Um....I'm not exactly sure how to tell you this...I'm..."

"What? What is it? There is nothing you can say that will scare me off, Jayce, so just tell me what it is."

"Yeah, I'm not sure if you'll say that after I tell you this, but... Ok...fine...I'm a were...Shit... I'm a werewolf Lance."
