JC's Story - Chapter Ten

****Hotel Suite in Frankfurt Germany - Two weeks later*****

A chorus of ring, ring throughout the room.

"Damn, I think all five of them rang at the same time. Is that even possible?" Joey asks.

"Shut up, Joe and answer your phone," Lance growls. Hello? Hi Johnny."

"Hello? Hey mom. How's it going?" JC asks. "Yeh, hold on let me go in the bedroom. Ok, this is quieter. What's up?"

"Well, son. It seems that Social Services has found your brother and sisters. They haven't located your father and mother yet though."

"How can they find my brother and sisters so quickly but not my father and mother? I don't get it."

"I asked them that same question and they said that they could find your brother and sister because there are court records of the adoption and the place of residence for each adoptive parent was in those records. They don't have that information on your father and mother."

"Ok, so now what?"

"There is a Social Worker in Orlando that is working with Britt, the Social Worker here, and they are contacting all of them to arrange a meeting. They have a date set but I wanted to talk to you before I committed you to the meeting. Do you really want to me these people? Are you absolutely positive about this?"

"Yes, mom. I want to meet them and if they would like I'd like to get to know them all. When is the meeting set up for? You know it's going to piss Lou off if I have to leave here before we're done."

"I already spoke to Lou and he assured me that if this was important to you that you could take the time off and come back for a few days for this meeting. In fact he actually volunteered to bring all you boys back for the meeting. It seems that your brother has a group of friends he wants to bring with him too."

"Sounds like we have allot in common. So, when is the meeting? I guess all I have to do is get the flight and show up. Unless you have taken care of that too?"

"No, but I spoke with Johnny and I believe he is talking with Lance about your flight arrangements, since Lance knows your schedule almost better than Johnny does. The meeting is set for two weeks from today. The Social Worker you will be meeting with's name is Mallory."

"Thanks mom. Love you. I gotta run. Lance is waving at me frantically."

"Bye son. Love you too. See you in a couple of weeks."

"So, who was that on your phone Lance," JC asks.

"That was Johnny. He has arranged a flight back to the states for your meeting. Are we all going? Why?"

"Yes, Lou said you guys should go with me for moral support. Plus, I would really like You to be with me for this. If you don't mind?"

Mind, why would I mind. I'd love to go with you. It would have been miserable if I would have had to stay here without you. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else."

Thank God. I thought for a second there he didn't want to go with me. God, I wish we were alone. I'd really like to kiss him again. "Great. Are the rest of the guys off the phone? That was kind of weird that all our phones rang at the same time like that."

"Yeah, it was. Everybody is off but Chris. He's talking to Howie. Something is going on with one of the guys and Howie is filling Chris in on the details."

"Well, we should probably go tell them what is going on. We are going to have to work really hard for the next week so that Lou don't throw a hissy for letting us off for a week to go home. I really don't want that man pissed at me because of this."

"How could he be pissed at you for wanting to meet your family. Besides, even he can see that it would be better for you to get to know them before we become rich and famous than after and they come looking for you. Don't you think? I makes more sense to me, anyway. That way it doesn't appear to the fans that this is some kind of ploy to get more attention than we deserve."

"Yeah, you got a point there. Alright lets go tell the guys we get to go home for a week. Come on."

"Hold up a second there Jayce. As long as we are along do you think I could maybe… Nah, nevermind. It's probably not a good idea with the guys right out there, since they don't know about us."

JC walks over to Lance and grasps his face between his hands and says, "What Lance? I really want to know what you were going to ask."

"I was just going to ask if I could kiss you. It has been so long…" he trails off as JC's lips lightly brush against his. "Mmmm."

"How was that?" JC asks when he pulls away.

"That was nice. We need to do that more often. I almost forgot how good it felt."

"Yeah, it has been awhile. Maybe we should just tell the guys that we would like to try a relationship and see how they feel about it. I don't think they would react to badly."

"Maybe, but not right now. There is just too much going on with us."

****Somewhere in Orlando Florida*******

"Son, I need to tell you something." Ann said.

"What is it mom?"

"Is there somewhere we can go that is a little more private?"

"Whatever you have to say, you can say it in front of these guys. You know that. I have no secrets from them."

"Ok. You may want to sit down for this then."

"All right mom. I'm sitting down, now what the hell is going on?"

"Watch your mouth young man. You may be an adult but you're still my little boy. And I'll whoop your ass for talking like that."

"Sorry. What's going on?"

"Well. How do I say this? I wish your father were here for this. He'd know what to say or at least how to say it without hurting you so much."

"Mom, you're making me a little nervous over here. What is it?"

"As you know when you were eleven you came to live with us. Well, what you don't know is that you really weren't born into our family. Your mom and dad weren't really relatives, they were strangers. I don't know how much you remember from that time in your life but we got you from a family in Maryland. Those people also had 4 other children, one boy and 3 girls."

"Why are you telling me this? What is going on mom. I know you and dad adopted me. I also know that I'm not really related to you that my mom and dad weren't really related to you. I knew all this, you told me this years ago, right after dad died. So what are you really trying to tell me?"

"Well, it seems that your brother has decided he wants to get to know his family. He just found out about two weeks ago that he was adopted and he wants to meet his brother and his sisters. The social worker that he and his family are working with thought that it would be better to contact you through us than to have him just come to you. She has set up a meeting with him and your sisters here in Orlando. She wants to know if you will come to this meeting."

"Why is he just now looking for us. Why hasn't he looked before?"

"Well, it seems that his adoptive parents hadn't told him he was adopted until his 20th Birthday. They just told him about two weeks ago. He immediately contacted the Social Services Department and they began to look for all of you. So do you want to meet him? They need to know. It seems he is out of the country right now and he would have to make a special trip back here for this meeting. The girls have all agreed to meet. What do you say son?"

"I don't know. I never really thought any of them wanted anything to do with me. None of them ever tried to get in touch with me. I just figured they didn't want to. It didn't dawn on me that they wouldn't have been told. I quess I'll meet them. What do I have to loose? It can't hurt. Yeh, you can tell them I'll come. Just let me know when and where?"

"Ok. I'll call the Social Services now. They wanted an answer right away. Hello? Yes, I need to speak to Mallory please. Yes, I'll hold. You know son, this could be something wonderful. This kid seemed really anxious to meet you? Yes, I'm still here. Thank you. Hi, Mallory? Yes, this is Ann. Yes, I'm his mother. He agreed to meet him. He want to know when and where? Ok. Yes. Mmm Hmmm. Ok. Yes. I'll let him know. Thank you. Do you need me to come? Ok. He'll probably want to bring his friends along. He doesn't go anywhere without them. They're all attached at the hip. Yeh, Ok. Thank you. Goodbye."

She turns and hands the paper over, "You need to be there at that time. He will only have a couple of hours for this meeting. You can take the boys with you. I guess he is bringing some of his friends with him too. Each one of the sisters is bringing someone with them also. He doesn't know who you are or what you are doing. So you don't have to be suspicious of why he is looking for you. If you can't make it for one reason or another you need to call Mallory at this number. I have to get going. I love you son. See you soon."

"Bye mom. I love you."

*********One week later, at the Social Services Department of Orlando Florida

"Hello. May I help you?" the secretary said without looking up.

"Yes, my name is Allison and I'm here to meet with Mallory."

"Please have a seat. You are the first one here. Mallory will be with you in a moment. [She presses the intercom] Allison is here to see you. Yes, ok. Miss. Will you follow me please. Mallory asked that you wait in here please. She said she'd be in when the rest show up. Please make yourself comfortable. There are drinks and snacks on the table over there."

The secretary returns to her desk only to find another girl waiting, "Hello. May I help you?"

"Yes, my name is Alexis and I'm here to meet with Mallory."

"Follow me please. One of your party is already here. She's waiting in the lounge for the rest to show up. There are food and drinks in the room so please help yourself."

The secretary returns again to her desk to find that once again someone is waiting, "Hello. May I help you?"

"Yes, my name is Ashlyn and I'm here to meet with Mallory."

"Follow me please. You're just waiting for your brothers to show up. Your sisters are already waiting in the lounge. Feel free to help yourself to the food and drinks."

Once again the secretary returns to her desk. {Thank God. Maybe I can at least sit down before another one shows up. Great this must be one of the boys} She looks up to see ten very hostile young men glaring at each other. "May I help you?"

"Yes, I'm here to see Mallory," JC says.

"I'm also here to see Mallory."

******In with the 3 sisters*****

"So where do you think our brothers are?" Allison asks.

"I don't know," Alexis states.

"I hope they get here pretty soon," Ashlyn says.

"We were all quite early, and from what I was told they aren't coming alone. They both bringing some friends with them. I wonder if Mallory will let them all in or make our brothers come in alone?" Allison states.

"I don't know. All I know is that I would much rather meet them without a bunch of other people around." Alexis comments.

"Me too. I just want to meet them first. Them maybe we could meet all there friends. First things first you know." Ashlyn infers.
