Miracle In My Life - Chapter Twentyeight

Several Weeks after the "Secure" Meeting

I roll over and realize I'm alone in the bed, "Josh?" I look around the room and see a light shining from under the door in the bathroom. I hear the toilet flush, the door opens and JC walks out flipping the light off as he reenters the room. "Hey, what you doing up?"

"Had to pee. What you doing awake?"

"Missed my blanket. What time is it?"

JC looks at the clock on the nightstand, "Six. Why?"

"Good, still got time to sleep. Get your gorgeous self back in here." I lift up the comforter and he crawls back in. He snuggles up to me and places his head on my chest.

"Better?"

"Much. Now go back to sleep."

"Gladly, I'm still wore out. I'm so glad this tour is almost over. I never thought it would be this much work."

"I hear ya babe. It's a good thing tonight's the last show. I can't beleive we made it through this whole thing with no fighting." "The groups baby."

"Good, cuz I didn't think it was that bad with the ten of us in three buses. I still can't believe that BSB had to have a bus for each one of them. What the hell they need that much room for?" He puzzles.

"Got me. Maybe they just aren't as lovey dovey as you guys are. You all made us feel right at home." I smile.

"Yes, we have a habit of doing that with people who tour with us. Anyway, why are we still awake?" He yawns to make his point.

"Right, close those baby blues. I'll be right here when you wake up." I wrap my arms around his waist and close my eyes.

When I wake up again JC is again missing from my side but I can hear the water running in the bathroom. "Wonder if he'd mind a little company?" I ask myself. I walk into the bathroom, strip and pull the curtain back. I gaze at the beautiful body before me, when I get to the usually smiling face I notice the smile is missing.

"What's wrong Josh?"

"Not feeling to good. Bit of a stomach bug I guess."

"Hmmm. You gonna be ok? I'm sure nobody will mind if we skip breakfast." I smile.

"No, I'll be ok. Not very hungry though, but I'll go along. Maybe get a glass of milk or juice."

"Always the healthy boy. How do you live on that shit?"

"That's how I keep my body the way it is."

"Yeah, that and all that damn dancing you do. No wonder Kevin and Chris both need knee surgery."

"But you love this body, so it's all worth it."

"Oh, yeah. I like it." I smile and pull him towards me. "You feel good enough for a kiss?"

"I think I could handle a small one. But you might want to keep your distance, don't want you to get it too."

We finish up our shower and get dressed. JC still isn't looking all that great, "Baby you sure you don't wanna just lay back down? I can bring you back some juice or something."

"No, I'm good. Just need to get out and get my mind off it."

"If you're sure?" Josh nods, "Let's go then." I put a hand in the small of his back. When he walks by I lean in, "Love you."

He smiles, "Love you too."

***A Week Later***

I wake up to an empty bed again, "Man. What is with him and this peeing at six in the morning?" I ask the room.

"Sorry, didn't mean to wake you," JC states from the bathroom doorway.

"Josh? You still got that stomach bug? I thought you were getting better since we were off the road and not getting up so early."

"No, you've just been sleeping through it. Oh, before I forget, Heather is coming over this morning. She'll be here about nine."

"What's she coming over for? Thought you guys did all that family bonding thing a couple of days ago." I tease.

"She's just coming for lunch, mom wanted her to run some things through me before she'd ok it for Heather to do some thing or another. I wasn't really listening that much."

"So...How long is she gonna be hanging around? Don't get me wrong Josh, I love your family, but I'd really like to spend a bit of this time with you and only you."

"I know. She's not gonna be here long, just drop some papers off and some stuff my mom is sending. God only knows what that could be."

"Yeah, I remember the last bag of stuff your mother sent over here. Cake mix that expired last year, juice mixes that had more dust on them than my bed, and what was the deal with that half used bottle of Pepto Bismol anyway?"

"I've no idea and I wasn't gonna ask either. It's best to just smile and take the bag, then go through it and toss all the shit in the trash." He smiles, "She's just strange that way. Trying to make sure that we have everything we could ever need."

"Even if it's expired?" I smirk.

"Ok, ok." JC climbs back in the bed. "Go back to sleep. Heather will be here soon."

**********JC's POV**********

I hear the doorbell and climb out of Mark's warm embrace. I make my way to the door, "Morning Heather."

"Morning big bro. Whoa, what's up with the doo? You really need to tame that thing." She smiles then becomes serious, "Where's Mark?"

"He's still in bed. Did you bring it?" I whisper.

She reaches into the bag and pulls out three boxes, "Wasn't sure which one would be the best so I grabbed a few of them. Damn, these things are expensive."

"How much do I owe you?"

"Nothing man. You've done more than enough for me. Go take these and I'll fix some breakfast for the hunk you got stashed in the bedroom. He got any idea what you suspect?"

"I don't think so. He hasn't said anything yet if he does."

"I still don't understand how this could even be a remote possibility but ever since you joined Jive you've all gotten strange so I'm not even gonna ask."

I walk into the bathroom and shut the door, "Well, guess it's time to face the music." I look at the boxes and smile, "This has got to be a first. How many men have actually taken one of these things? And how the hell do I not screw them up?"

I read and follow the directions on all three boxes, then sit down to wait the 20 -25 minutes that I'd have to wait for the results.

When the time is up I look each one over, take a deep breath and walk out the bathroom.

"Well?" Heather jumps up from the couch where she was looking at pictures with Mark.

Mark gets up and stands next to Heather with a puzzled look on her face, "Well what? What have you been doing in there all this time Josh?"
