***Three Days Later***
The bus pulls into the WEG compound and the guys all jump out.
"So, two days off and then we all meet back at C's house right?" Justin asks.
"Yep," Lance answers.
"Cool. I gotta get to the airport. Flight leaves in two hours. Joe could you drive me? I don't wanna leave my Benz in that
parking lot."
"Sure Justin. Just let me grab my stuff, then we can go." Joey answers with a big ass smile.
"Cool," Justin blushes. "I really appreciate it."
"Ok, so what's going on with them two?" Dirk smirks. "This whole crew is in love with each other. It's so cool. So where we
off to now? What the hell is that thing? Why you putting me back here. I want JC! No! I refuse to stay in this damn thing! LET
ME OUT! JC!!! Please don't make me stay back here. It's scarry. Please. I'm begging you."
"Lance?" JC calls. "Dirk doesn't look all that happy about this. Can I take him with me, in my jeep? I'll make sure to put a
seatbelt around the cage." He pouts at Lance.
"What?" Chris questions. "You're gonna let that ferret ride in your jeep? What's that? Man, you won't even let Joey or I in the
front seat but you'll let that animal ride in it? Well, I never."
"Chris will you shut up and get your shit in the jeep already? There is a reason why I don't let you ride in the front, and it has
nothing to do with the fact that you shed worse that your dog." JC teases.
"Yeah, yea. Why do you always pester me? I didn't do anything to you?" Chris whines.
"Cuz, you're soo easy?" JC smiles. "You get all touchy about the shit that don't mean anything and the important shit, you could
care less about."
"Oh, sure pick on the old, balding guy." Chris grumbles.
"JC? Will you stop harassing Chris so we can get home? I'd rather not be here any longer than I have to be." Lance yells
across the parking lot.
"Sure. You got all your stuff?" JC asks Chris.
"Yep. It's all here. Do I really have to sit in the back seat?"
"No. I'll put Dirk on the floor and you'll have to hold Busta."
"What? Oh, hell no. I'm getting in there with Dirk. I don't wanna ride up there. This thing is too high of the ground. Dirk? Can I
hang with you back here?"
"Sure man. I don't think it's that much fun but if you wanna hang here, that's fine by me."
"Great thanks."
"Look, Chris. They're protecting each other again. Busta sure seems to feel safer around Dirk. That's kinda cool. They make
each other feel at ease."
"Yeah. Would you quit rubbing it in? I swear that dog is a pansy."
"No. He's just trying to adapt to all the new shit in his new life. You gotta look at it from his perspective man. He's a small dog
and look at all the shit he's been through since you bought him. If you were his size you'd be scarred all the time too."
"Yeah, I guess. It just seems that Dirk is taking everything better than Busta. What's up with that?"
"You gotta remember, Chris, Dirk is a ferret. They're a more self-reliant animal than dogs."
"Yeah. How the hell do you know so damn much about this shit?"
"Because I read. And not just the comics or shit like that man."
"Really? I would never have guessed." Chris teases. "Cool, we're here."
"Finally. Hey, Busta. I think we've stopped moving. You can relax now." Dirk says.
"Really? Oh thank heaven. I sure the heck hope we get to stay in one place for a while. I'm getting a bit tired of this moving
from place to place crap all the time."
"I wouldn't hold my breath on that. Something tells me that traveling is a major part of these guy's lives."
"Yeah. Well I still don't like it man."
"Neither do I. Holy shit!! Check out that horse. What the hell is that?" Dirk scoots closer to the back of his cage.
"What the hell? What you bringing rats in here for? I thought that damn cat was bad enough. Now you bring a rat in. What the
hell is going on here? And what preytell is that thing that Master Chris is carrying? Looks like someone smashed his head into a
wall and squished it. Hey, Master Chris. Lance? What are you doing here? JC? What's going on?" Baron says.
"Hey, boy." JC kneels down and hugs Baron. "How you doing? Man, I missed you boy? Has Rosie been taking good care of
you?"
"Yeah. I'm doing fine. Senora Rosie's been taking great care of me. Now tell what the hell is going on around here?"
"Oh," JC says looking around. "Guess you're probably wondering what's going on huh?"
"Yeah, well the thought crossed my mind." Baron states.
"Well, Lance is staying with us for a while. And that is his new pet Dirk, he's a ferret. And that puppy that Chris is holding is
Busta." JC explains. He leans in and whisper into Baron's ear, "Now you be nice to that ferret. Don't go eatin him or anything
ok. You be a good boy. And be nice to Busta too, he's kinda in shock with all the crap we've been throwing at them."
"Yeah, ok. Hey? Wait a minute! Why I gotta be nice to that rat?"
"I'm not a rat, thank you very much. I'm a ferret, and you gotta be nice to me for the same reason I haven't bit your nose. By
the way, why do all you dogs gotta smell my ass? Anyway, back to the reason why you gotta be nice to me. JC and Lance
have realized they are in love with each other and Lance would be really pissed at JC if you ate me."
"Oh, well in that case, I guess I'll be nice. Whoa, wait a minute. You mean they're like 'In Love'?"
"Yep. Oh, damn, it's about time. Master JC's been in love with him for forever. You gotta give details man."
"Yeah. When they stop swinging me around and dragging me around this place maybe you could show us around. What ya say
there Busta? Busta? BUSTA? Damn. Where'd he go now?"
"You mean that dog that Master Chris brought in? Master Chris took him upstairs to his room. Wonder where they're gonna
keep you?"
"Probably where ever they sleep. I've been sleeping with the two of them since they got me. It's been pretty entertaining so
far."
"Really? Master JC's been letting you sleep with him? I can't believe that? He doesn't let any critters near his bed."
"Well, I guess that's the power of love. He'll do anything to keep Lance nearby. He even gave me and Busta some of his
Boa's."
"No way. I don't believe it."
Dirk picks up his boa, "See it and believe it. So you're a Baron. Why was JC so worried you'd eat me? You seem pretty cool
to me."
"Yeah, well. I'm not usually this nice to strange animals coming into 'my' house but since Master JC asked me to be nice I'll
give it a go. You seem ok so far, sooo… you live for now."
"Well, thanks. I think. Damn, I wish they'd let me out of this damn cage. I hate this thing. Fine! You know I can do it myself.
Ok! Here goes. One foot here, one foot there, almost… Oh shit, he caught me. Damn it."
"Uh, Lance? You might want to catch Dirk. He's making an escape attempt." JC laughs.
"What? Damn, I thought I had it rigged so he couldn't get out." Lance grumbles.
"Man, why don't you just take him out of there. He's alright. He's proved he can control himself and not pee everywhere.
Busta, however, Chris better keep a close watch on. If that dog shits in my house he'll be staying outside for the next week." JC
states looking at Chris who was standing at the bottom of the stairs.
"Hey, he was just getting back at Justin for picking on him. You can't blame him for that." Chris defended.
"Yeah, well you better hope that's all it was. He better not even think about it in my house." JC huffs.
"Don't worry," Lance says coming up behind JC and wrapping his arms around him. "It was only once and it was the same day
Justin was picking on him all day. Give the poor fella a chance."
"Anything for you baby. You know that. But he's still only got one chance you understand Chris?"
"Yep. Got ya. Loud and clear."
"Good. Now come on Lance. Let's figure out where to put that cage since he doesn't seem to like it, we might as well not
bother. As long as he's good he doesn't have to be in there."
"Yes, I'm really loving that man. He is just the coolest. I still can't figure out why those chinchillas said he was so mean."
"What? Where are they? They aren't here are they? I'll eat those rats if I see them."
"No. They left them on the bus, I think either that or Lance brought them in his car. I don't think they'll be coming in, so chill
man."
"It's a good thing. I'll eat 'em before I let those damn things back in this house. They tore the place up the last time they were
here. And they crapped all over everything. Gave poor Grendal a heart attack, I swear."
"Who's Grendal?"
"I'm Grendal," a smooth, silky black cat speaks from behind Dirk.
"Well, hello. I'm Dirk."
"Hello, Baron? What is he doing here? Why haven't you eaten him yet?"
"Master JC said we have to be nice to him. He's Lance's new pet."
"Oh, well that explain why he's still alive. I gotta run. Mrs. Pillowfluff just planted some new flowers. I gotta go play in them."
"Oh really. I'll be out in a few. Gotta show the new guy around a bit first."
"K, see ya later."
"So that was a Grendal. He doesn't seem too bad. Kinda neat. I've never lived with a black cat before."
"Don't mind him. He's full of himself. Thinks he's better than everybody else." Baron says snidely.
"Oh, that's not cool. Well, anyway, looks like we arrived. Yes, get me out of this damn cage. Thank you, have I told you how
cool I think you are?"
JC reaches into the cage and pulls Dirk and his boa out, "You can hang in here as long as you're good little man."
"Finally, I'm out and loose. I'm soo happy."
"Dirk, Dirk!!!!! Where you at man? Did you see that black furry thing? What was that? Scarred the living crap out of me. What
is it? Dirk, quit laughing at me. What is it?"
"Busta, that's Grendal. He's a cat."
"A cat. Wow, I've never seen one like that. He looked mean."
"OK, WHERE THE HELL IS IT?" Grendal yowls. "Baron, you see any strange looking yellow furballs around here?"
"You better hide Busta. He sounds pissed and even I don't mess with him when he's pissed." Baron warns.
