Taste

His lips always tasted sweet. Like a combination of strawberries and cotton candy. It didn't matter what he'd been doing, what he'd just eaten, what sort of angry or joyous words had just spilled from his mouth… every time I kissed him, it was delicious and heaven and I lost a part of myself. Until recently, that is.

Not to say that I stopped losing myself in his kiss. I love him and I always will. He just stopped tasting so blissful. He started tasting harder, like cheap whisky and fast women. He started tasting like.. Justin.

Dammit. Why hadn't I noticed before? They'd always been close. They were less than a year and a half apart in age, both from the South, both searching to find themselves in a way Joey, Chris, and I were past. From the second we all met Lance, there was a bond between him and Justin. We were hard on Lance in the early days, kind of a hazing ritual. I think we could sense his innocence and sensitivity, and were maybe even a little jealous of it. But Justin always protected him, always spoke out against us, even took a couple of beatings that were meant for Lance. Eventually we backed off, and accepted and loved Lance as our brother, but Justin never stopped protecting him, being so damn close to him that I don't know how Lance didn't suffocate sometimes.

I have always envied that bond. Lance and I have been close for years now. Good friends at first, then lovers for the last year or so. It started out so innocently. Lance knew I was gay, came to talk to me about it, and somehow we ended up making out. It was supposed to be an accident, a one-time deal, but after he'd spent every night for a week straight in my arms, I knew it was more than that. At first he just said he was fooling around, experimenting, trying new things, but eventually he admitted that he was bi. He'd never been with a guy before, never really wanted to, but he did love me. This he assured me of time and time again. But he still had something special with Justin that he'd never have with me. Justin was his best friend in the whole world, the one he always went to first with his sadness or his joy. I told myself it was okay because I had a bond with Lance that Justin didn't share, but now…

That sweet, sexy, Southern voice interrupts my thoughts. The voice that belongs to the only person on earth who could bring me so much happiness and pain.

"Hey, JC," Lance says, entering the hotel room we are sharing.

"Hi," I reply, crossing the room to greet him. We hug and kiss as always. I can taste the alcohol on his breath, almost totally masking the essence of him, the part of him that I adore so much. I can't take this anymore.

I pull back from him. "Did you and Justin have fun tonight?" I ask, spitting out Justin's name as if it were the worst curse possible.

Lance recoils from me slightly. "Yeah, it was all right. We went to this club, where Justin tried to pick up a girl, but he came home alone."

"I bet he did."

"JC, what's wrong?"

"You tell me. Tell me what's going on between you and Justin." He looks back at me with his big green eyes, trying to look innocent but utterly failing. "Don't even try that with me. You know I can see right through you."

"I don't know what to say. I never meant to hurt you…"

"Just tell me the damn story, Lance." We sit down on the bed. He puts his head in his hands and takes a deep breath. "A couple of weeks ago, Justin and I were messing around, wrestling or fighting over video games or something, and he pinned me to the ground. He just stared at me… he had this look of undeniable lust in his eyes. He kissed me first, but I admit that I kissed back. Jayce, you would have done the same thing. You love the kid too."

"As my brother. As my friend. Not in any way that would make me kiss him and cheat on my boyfriend." I am practically yelling at Lance now.

Lance is giving me a steely glare that I didn't even think he was capable of. "So you're telling me it's just a coincidence that all of the songs you write are about people with blue eyes?"

"I… I…" I sputter, deflated. Wow. I hadn't even noticed that. It had been so long since I'd dreamt of Justin like that, but apparently he was still in the corner of my mind. "I'm sorry, Lance. It's not like that."

"I understand. I'm not mad at you for that. How could I be? I'm just saying that if Justin came to you and was curious, you'd indulge him too. I was curious too, you know, because you are the only guy I've ever been with."

"How far did you go with him? Are we breaking up?"

"All I've done is kiss him. Several times, granted, but I've never let it go farther than that. He wants to, but I keep resisting. Because I do love you, JC, and I do want to stay in this relationship and make it work." He smiles and shakes his head a little. "The boy is a damn good kisser, though."

I take this as a challenge. I pounce on Lance, pushing him back onto the bed. Before he really knows what hit him, my tongue is in his mouth and my hand is unbuttoning his shirt. He moans into the kiss and runs his fingers through my hair. After a few moments, I pull back.

He looks up at me, panting. "Yes, you're a good kisser too," he says with a grin.

"Just good?" I ask.

"Yeah," he laughs, "but I know there are other things you are great at."

I smirk at him. Everyone thinks of Lance as sweet and almost demure, but when he wants something, he sure knows what buttons to push. He knows that with my competitive streak, I will do anything at this point to satisfy him like Justin never could.

I kiss him lightly on the lips, then trail kisses down his chin to his neck, sucking and biting at his Adam's apple the way he loves it. He's been known to come merely from this at times. But I won't linger there long enough this time. I kiss down to his chest, flicking each nipple with my tongue until he moans my name, then biting them gently before continuing the path down his stomach. I love to lick at the light dusting of hair between his belly button and his dick. I have no idea why, but it makes him purr in the most divine, sexy way.

While I'd been kissing my way down his body, Lance had unbuttoned and unzipped his pants. "Impatient much?" I ask.

His only response was a low growl. "JC," he pleads.

I pull his pants and his boxers down to his knees, too anxious myself to fully undress him. Some people give head to get the favor returned, but not me. I love to suck dick. It's never ceased to amaze Lance how hot it makes me to get him off like that, how I can just about come myself from tasting him and seeing and hearing his reaction.

I go to work on him, licking up and down his shaft and fondling his balls. "More," he begs me, thrusting shallowly, trying to get his dick in my mouth.

I soon tire of teasing him and take the head between my lips. I run my tongue along the slit and taste his pre-cum, all warm and salty. Between my ministrations and fending off Justin's advances all night, I know Lance isn't going to last long. I deep throat him, engulfing his entire length. He thrusts into my mouth, moaning incoherently. I catch the word "love" and my name mixed in with the animalistic noises. His voice is so deep and beautiful and gets even more so when he's turned on.

He's so close. I feel him tense and pull back a little. I run my hands over his ass and he plunges his cock down as far as he can in my throat and comes with a loud sigh. I lick up every last drop, then lay my head on his thigh and look up into those gorgeous green eyes.

"Damn, that was hot," a voice behind me says.

I roll over to see Justin standing there. "How did you get in here?" I ask, as he holds up the extra keycard to our room.

"Uh…" Lance is so stunned he doesn't even try to get dressed. He just stares at Justin, who is staring back at him, his clear blue eyes dark with lust.

"I feel like I should pay you guys for that show. Never seen anything that good in my life."

"You wanna join?" I ask, the words out of my mouth before the thought is even completely formed in my brain.

Justin grins. The patented Justin Timberlake smile, the one that can make any person, male or female, gay or straight, want him and love him to no end. "So kind of you to ask, JC," he says. "I figured you'd be too pissed at me for kissing your boyfriend to see straight. I never figured you would let me in the mix. And while I would love more than anything to do so, I have to say no."

I am pissed that he turned me down. Who the fuck does he think he is? Does he know what he's letting go by saying no to my offer? "Why not?" I ask belligerently.

"The reason I came in here was to apologize to you for coming on to Lance and to tell you I will never do it again. I know how much you love each other. You belong together. I'm not going to get in the way of that."

I sigh. The anger vanishes as quickly as it came. "Thanks, man," I say, getting up and crossing the room to where he stands.

Lance finally comes out of his shock and pulls his clothes on, embarrassed. "Uh…" he stammers.

Justin laughs. "It's okay, Lance." Lance smiles back softly.

"We all good?" Justin asks.

"Yeah, no hard feelings," I say. Lance just nods.

Justin walks out of the room. Lance walks over to me and puts his arms around me. "I'm so sorry. I will never look at another guy again, I promise."

"You can look. Just don't ever touch."

"I love you, JC Chasez."

"I love you, Lance Bass."
