Dante is the second strongest male ego in the world, therefore he is a target of the evil male egos. His girlfriend is missioned to protect him by fusing with his ego to distract the evil male egos and destroy them. When he met Kurisutaru, the visions of a young man she used to have vanished, with this piece of information everyone ends up thinking he's the One. SS3 won't tell Kurisutaru if this is true or not, he refuses to talk about it, but sometimes Evailia will catch SS3 in his throneroom throwing fits for no apparent reason. Dante stays back with SS3 in another dimension to be protected, for SS3 is the main target of the egos.
In one version of the story, Dante and Zach are cursed and become babies again. SS3 tries to make Dante push his ego out to where he'll grow again, but the Head Ego says, "If you cannot save the Chosen Child Dante before he becomes so young as to he goes past his birthdate--and save Kurisutaru from her prison, the Princess will be impregnated, and the infant will be born as the Chosen Child. She will no longer be his lover, but his mother,". Zach doesn't have a reversed spell like Dante, but is still endangered as he is almost killed in a insane-blasting spell the minion egos have.
