It
was truly the greatest night of my life. I kept praying I would win at least ONE
category or make it to the finalists round... ANYTHING! EVERYONE was going
to be there... the media, public figures, all the past Miss Guams, my family and
friends. To be honest, I never dreamed I would actually win the title.
But it was my
"dream come true"... and I will never forget one single moment from that
night... I remember looking down into the audience right when they called my name
for the award of "Best in Evening Gown" and seeing my Dad jump out of his seat
with excitement. Just seeing the proud look on his face... made my heart
melt.
... He later told
me, "Right when you came out, I just KNEW you'd win that one!" |
