Softly sleeps my little love
cuddled in your bed
With sugar plums and gingerbread
dancing through your head

Your scent is soft as petals
as you lay there peacefully
I caress your little fingers
and watch you slowly breathe

It won't be very long
till your not so very small
You won't need my sleepy tunes
to sing you to a lull

So sleep well my little love
tomorrow's another big day
we've got to make more memories
before you grow and go away.
