Sandra was first discovered by a talent scout/make-up artist at the age of 14, she was just standing outside a mall with a bunch of her friends when the scout approached her. After some screening Sandra got her first modeling assignment doing a print ad for an eyewear company. The offers didn't stop after that. 

Another break for Sandra's young career then was when she joined the Philippines' Elite Model Search. She was acclaimed the special award the Viva Look of the Year. Touted as the crowd favorite she was the one who went on to represent the country in the international Elite Model Search which was held in Nice, France. (People are still asking if she will ever consider joining the Binibining Pilipinas Search -saying that if she wins a title she'd be a great bet for either Miss Universe or Miss World)

She has done several commercials (here and in neighboring countries), graced some of manila's hottest fashion shows, can be seen in numerous print ads and magazines that it wasn't long before she became the "it girl" model. And she didn't just stop at modeling, a very bright girl (read: straight A student) and a natural talker she was soon offered hosting jobs. When she started appearing in the late night show Master Showman, people started recognizing her everywhere she went. Aside from Master Showman, she also did some VJ-ing for the now defunct show Campus Video. Incidentally to become an MTV VJ is one of her dreams.

The multi-faceted Sandra was also asked to be the muse for two of PBA's teams. Red Bull in 2002 and FedEx Express in 2003. These teams couldn't have picked a better muse than Sandra! Being a basketball player herself (played for her school's women's team) she would attend each game when she could.

Realizing that she'd want to concentrate on her modeling career for awhile, she took a break from co-hosting at Master Showman and has been traveling in and out of the country trying her luck. Incidentally she's signed up with Apple Model Management - a Thailand based modeling agency.

Sandra's young but has accomplished so many- and the best part of all this success? She's grounded. With her family, friends and most importantly her faith to guide her, Sandra remains true to herself and will humbly attribute it all to hard work and the Man above.

* Sandra speaks four languages fluently: German, English, Filipino and French. And she also speaks the Filipino dialect Ilonngo.

* The Filipino part of her is actually from the Visayas Region. Her mom's a native of Bacolod City

* She's your sporty kinda chic. Plays basketball and volleyball. And is into competitive swimming.

* Won silver medal in a swimming competition held in Jakarta, representing her school.

* She's very religious.

* Very family-oriented, she and her brothers are like really close. Her brother Michael is also actively doing Modeling stints.

* she probably got her lustrous long hair from her mom, which is, if I'm not mistaken, by far the longest (past her back) among the other models here.

* No meat please, Sandra's vegetarian.

* Not only has Sandra been modeling for Seventeen fashion shoots, she has written an article for the magazine as well -tackling a social awareness issue.
