Arranged and designed numerous major industrial facility units. Provided technical writing and communications services as required.

Designed and produced presentations for client review meetings. Earned several MVP awards for enhancing the client design review process and for creating various safety presentations. Provided technical writing, editing and publication design services to various computer companies.
· On contract to McDonnell Douglas: Generated copy and illustrations for operations, fault isolation, and maintenance manuals on the MD-11 aircraft. Working from engineering documents and interviews with engineers validated and documented the interfaces between a multitude of on-board CPUs. Collected, organized and presented the material for inclusion in a database for ready reference and for input to customer-level documentation. Used ATA-100, Interleaf, Lotus 1-2-3, and Word Perfect.
· On contract to Boeing Computer Services: Recruited and supervised a team of training writers for designing and producing training documents for the new Federal Telephone System, FTS2000. Generated new material, planned workloads, assigned tasks and edited final drafts. Used Word Perfect and MS Word.
· On contract to Amdahl: Designed, developed and illustrated diagnostics, physical planning and installation manuals for a mainframe-based front-end communications processor. Designed and arranged illustrations and page formats to describe interactive menu-driven diagnostic procedures, physical equipment requirements and installation sequences. Used Unix vi, EDT, TROFF and Interleaf.
· On Contract for GE Fanuc: Wrote a 20-page, 5-product brochure. Working from interviews with engineers, generated new copy in 5 days. Gave instructions and storyboard for illustrations, photographs and layout.
· On contract to Tracor Aerospace: Documented functional test plans and procedures for the USAF WorldWide Information System Local Area Network (WISLAN). Assisted test engineers in development and writing of LAN simulator operating procedures. Edited and assembled over 3000 pages of documentation. Developed and maintained work in progress management system for the whole documentation effort. Used Unix, EVE, TROFF, and RUNOFF.

Provided technical support to the computer software marketing and sales departments.
· Planned, designed and produced large and small computer product trade show presentations and installations of show hardware and software. Selected, trained and supervised all involved personnel and gave stand-up presentations.
· Helped plan and produce new product introduction campaigns for two CAD/CAM applications, Unigraphics II and GDS/BDS. Conceived and produced audio-visual multi-media programs, product brochures, press releases and press conferences.
· Generated copy and illustrations for Unigraphics II user manuals. Used Wang and Unigraphics. Supervised the reorganization and rewriting of seven GDS/BDS user manuals.
