Rock Blaster was an AsteroidsTM clone built in Visual Basic. Everything worked well with the project. I had a ship that could fly around the screen and fire upto 4 bullets at a time. When the player applied thrust, a small flame shot out the back of the ship. When the player fired, the bullets would cause the ship to recoil. The bullets would also push the rocks around, though they wouldn't destroy the rocks (never got that far). The game had an option to apply some sort of flight drag to the ship to keep the ship from flying at an infinite velocity. A cool star field moved opposite the players movement enhancing the flight effect. Meters in the corner displayed the current speed, g-force, and weapon heat. Considering only about a week of programming went into the game, it worked quite well.

:( I took a short break from working on the game, only about 2 weeks. Unfortunately, when I returned to the project, all of the project files were somehow corrupted. Everything was lost. All the blood, sweat, and tears that went into it were gone for good. I know I said I only worked on the game for a week. But at the pace that I was working on this project, one week of work turned out to be about 75 hours. So, the game is gone and all that is left are these four bad screenshots that barely do the game justice. Those who saw the game (about 6 people), know the beauty of the game was in fluid movement and simplicity of design.
