Silently she walks away
The tears-they stain her cheeks.
Tears of glass-
So fragile, so frail
Shattering as they hit the floor
The shattered memories of the past.

Sleeping silently-so innocent
He seems-
But he is the cause
For all the broken dreams.

No spiteful words hath been said-
But the terror inside her hath begun.
The longing..yearning to touch him
She has not yet overcome.

Yet throughall this
Her heart still skipped a beat
As she stood over him-
Watching him breathe.

If only she would wake him
If only she would speak-
Maybe then she'd have the answers
That her heart does seek.

Instead she does not wake him
And speaks not a word
Tears slip down quietly,
Shattering to the floor
As silently she walks away
And slips out the door.
