LOST LUGGAGE STORY
How many had problems with their baggage when arriving in India ? How
did the airline authorities treat you ? Did they pay for hotel and
board? Here is a rather extreme reaction…………. Police at the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos averted on Sunday what would probably have resulted in a major disaster when irate passengers of Nigeria Airways threatened to torch the airport over the absence of their luggage after they arrived from New York, United States of America. The timely intervention of Police from the Murtala Muhammed Airport Command saved the situation as they arrived to disperse the protesting passengers. |
MY AIR FRANCE GAVE ME SOME MONEY
Well, i must admit i felt like doing this when mine did not arrive
with
KLM
- but as english
and passive as i
am i
went away with various slips of paper and no pay off along with
a few other people who's luggage did not arrive.
Air france were giving out ruppees for people who's luggage did not arrive. Mine came the following night, after hours sitting in the airport awaiting it's arrival - the flight arrived, and when my luggage came round and i saw my case, i whooped, and screamed with delight, like a nigerian, and very unlike a nice british lady in salwar kameez, i was so so pleased to see it again, i wanted to sing songs being reunited with luggage songs, and i
could well have done i think. |
HAD A FIT
My dad flew on singapore airlines from sydney to chennai via singapore
on business class. upon arriving in chennai at 11:45 at night and
waiting for 1.5 hrs for all the baggage to be put on the carousels, he
was told his bags were still in sydney.
my dad is diabetic and needs insulin shots three times a day. he only had enough insulin on him to last 1 day. anyway, singapore
airlines gave him 10,000 rupees for immediate clothing and
medical expenses, wrote him a letter of apology and i think has even
given him a free upgrade to business class on his next long haul
trip... |
3. RETURNING HOME AND PHEW !
Los Angeles, I started in Tashkent, Uzbekistan -- had a 10-hour layover
in Delhi, India -- then boarded Singapore Airlines for another 8-hour
layover in Singapore -- then a shorter layover in Taipei, Taiwan --
before finally landing in LA. Just as I expected, my luggage didn't show up. However, bless Singapore Airlines, they managed to track my luggage to Tel Aviv (Israel) -- and delivered it to my doorstep. My luggage had a sticker with Hebrew words on it. Although Israeli security had thoroughly checked and repacked everything (pockets that I never used had stuff in them), nothing was amiss at all. |
