CREATE A PROFILE

One has to create  a profile to use the railway online system. Enter your address and other information.

The only little wrinkle in the new system is that you must supply a numerical 6 digit post code/pin No when filling out the profile form. ( put in any six digits , if using your overseas address)

Use any six numbers – it works well. 

In  BANGALORE, CHENNAI, KOLKATA & MUMBAI you can book online and collect your ticket at a designated ticket office - you save time by not standing in a queue.

Be careful read the the booking instructions carefully and the profile section.

PICKING UP THE TICKET

You do not have to recieve your ticket by post/courier. You can arrange to pick up your ticket at the ticket office, in Delhi it is Chelmsford Rd ticket office!! near Paharganj!!
