Two Epiphany Squad Captains Seceed from Union
Captains Confused and ShortyPants Announced leave from the Epiphany Squad to one Captain last week. Former Captains are noted to have made the following statements:
"We do not nullify the friendship of Epiphany Squad Members, yet we nullify our membership in the Organized Epiphany Squad"
"You cannot be nonconformists if you are all conforming to one another"
"Don't be like children: BE NICE!!!"
A written statement from the Former Captains explaining their succession is anticipated.

The following letter was published with permission from outside affiliates J.Conner and K.English:
To the Epiphany Squad,
It has been a long gathering of months, in which this young society has formed. Now, with the passing of our youth there lies a multitude of perils that we have not yet been brave enough to face. Instead, we have turned our heads the other direction from what is truth. Acts of conformity and communism have taken place with no efforts done to stop them. We know not what the future may bring to all of you, yet we have but few worries about what may lay before us. In this light we henceforth disassociate ourselves with that which is the Epiphany Squad.
There is little of our past that could have prepared us for our future. In the long years of associating with one another we never knew so much as a skirmish. One could wonder now, why that is. Was it truly utopia, or the silence of those who know not how to speak? We no longer wait in line for a turn at the podium. We speak to you now freely, as is our right. This society was founded as a democracy, not a totalitarian dictatorship. Part of this letter has includes a message to each of you, which I gather you will all read. I encourage you to read the rest of this composition on your own, as you will be subject then only to your own opinions and out of the influence of others. That said,
To Mary: I praise you endlessly for your passion about infliction of the world. With your assistance, the Epiphany Squad may still reach unscalable heights. I wish you much luck. There is more; however, a person needs, than luck. We have many times spoken of the wonders of nonconformity. You must find your way to be your own nonconformist. Not the pawn of another. You are glorious in your own fashion, you need not follow another for approval. I once carried such respect for the Epiphany Squad. It was an institution of all that is good with the world. Once, all was well with it. Time passed however and power became dominant. We cannot be nonconformists if we all conform to one another. Therefore, the Epiphany Squad is not an association of nonconformists. We are living in hypocrisy. Thus, I cannot exist as a Captain of the Epiphany Squad.
To Kathryn: Much has been said about conformity. You, I believe, are the most excellent example of it. I apologize a thousand times If I ever embarrassed you in public, for I am quite certain I did. Please note my sarcasm: I wouldn't dare apologize for such a trivial thing. You must soon learn that the world is not concerned with the doings of me or you, and that no amount of embarrassment is necessary. You must learn to find out, exactly, who Kathryn Kostura is. As yet, I have not been able to determine this. You, like others, are like a child. You are searching desperately for where you belong. I pose to you this question: must everyone "belong?" I think not. The world is full of wonders, Kathryn, if you are brave enough to seek them. Do not have concern over the thoughts of others, for they most certainly aren't paying attention in the first place.
To Jillian: The past is long, it is innoscent, and it is treasured. Most importantly: The Past is Past. No effort by any living thing upon the earth or elsewhere can recall the past. Thus, it is treasured. Human beings are known for treasuring what they cannot have. They are also known for their powers of reason, logic. Nothing you can do will bring the past back to you. The more you strive for it, the farther from it you will become. This is truth, and is all I've to say about the past.
About the present: I never once felt anger nor displeasure towards you until you began to put the interests of yourself before the interests of those who care about you. You will recall the Saturday night we swept quickly from town to your driveway with unsettling news. Remember the words I had for you: "I care not. Go." I cared not then, for I had faith in your judgement. I believed that you would do right. I, as we all know, am a fool. You have continuously taken a good friend of mine down a road of pure limitless joy that leads to utter disappointment. Now, you leave him stranded upon that road without so much as a bit of gas or a map. You are a child, Jillian Kilcullen. You are a child, without thought or care as to what your actions may do to others. I pity the day upon which you grow up, and you will find all around you has been ruined. No amount of makeup you could wear can cover the dissatisfaction you will have for life unless you stop what you are doing. No pair of dainty high heels can elevate you from it. No Captain will do it for you. This is what you must learn. ‘Tis not a happy thing, yet the rest of the world has already learned this by now. You must learn to stand on your own two feet, high heeled or not. This is also truth. It is unfortunate, and I am quite sorry.
There are many words I could share with all of you, yet I gather you haven't much capacity to read them. I am aware of the turmoil this may cause, and to that I say nothing. I have made a decision on the part of Jennifer Michelle Conner, not of the Epiphany Squad. If you think back, you may realize that this is a first. Try to remember when I last put my own interests before yours. I have tried for so many passing years to please you and have failed. I therefore care not. I care not what you think of me now. I care not what you do about it. Or do nothing. Continue with the Epiphany Squad, if you so choose. Film a Wej Movie if you desire. Be certain, however, that you write a new scene or two. I shall take my written contributions with me as I walk away.
And that is what I have done. Walked away. Take this as you wish. I leave without anger toward any single person, but the toward the actions of several. Be aware of this. I am quite sorry for any commotion I create in doing so. I cause this commotion under advisement of one who knows quite well of causing commotion. I gather you'll wonder who or why. I gather I won't tell you. It is in the best interests of all that I go, and that you continue to seek out whatever brings you joy. We cannot continue to live in a conforming-nonconformist society. We free ourselves henceforth as Captain Confused and Captain ShortyPants of the Epiphany Squad.
