Severe Tropical Storm Vongfong over the South China Sea finally landed over the vicinity of Zhangjiang, western Guangdong; as affected by its rainbands, winds in this district were fresh to occasionally strong with squalls early this week. Later this week, an anticyclone prevailed over the southern China, resulting in fine weather over this district. It was sunny and hot till the weekend.
