The south China coast was being affected by a strong northeast
monsoon throughout this week. From Sunday to Tuesday, it was cold;
air temperature in this district progressively dropped from the highest
of 25.1 degrees on Sunday to the lowest of 11.2 degrees on Monday
morning. By mid-week, a broad band of rain bearing clouds covered the
coastal areas of Guangdong. It was cloudy with occasional rain in this
district. Thursday onwards, apart from cloudy periods in the morning,
it was mainly fine during the day.
