On Sunday, a maritime airstream brought warm weather with abundant
sunshine to this district. A weak cold front crossed the coast of
Guangdong on Monday. It was mainly cloudy there. Tuesday onwards, a
ridge of high pressure prevailed over the southeast coast of China
resulting with fine weather. Over this district, it was cloudy with
sunny periods in the morning. But it turned to be fine and hot with
some haze in the afternoon. On Friday afternoon, 30.6 degrees Celsius
of maximum air temperature was recorded, which was the highest so far
in this year till this week. On the other hand, Typhoon Kujira weakened
into a tropical storm and slowly moved across the seas to the east of
Taiwan. On Thursday night, it turned to the north-northeast. It made
landfall over Kyushu, Japan on Friday afternoon and then weakened into
an area of low pressure.
星期日，一股海洋氣流為本區帶來陽
光充沛及溫暖的天氣。一道微弱的冷
鋒於星期一橫過廣東沿岸，本區大致
多雲。星期二及以後，一道高壓脊為
中國東南沿岸帶來良好天氣；本區早
上多雲，部分時間有陽光，下午轉晴
，天氣炎熱，亦有幾陣煙霞。星期五
下午錄得30.6度氣溫，是今年以來到
本星期為止的最高氣溫。另外，颱風
鯨魚減弱為熱帶風暴後，緩慢地橫過
台灣以東海域；於星期四晚，轉向東
北偏北方向且加速地移動，並於星期
五下午在日本九州登陸，跟著減弱為
一個低壓區。
