Early this week, a dry continental airstream brought fine and
relatively dry weather to this district. A trough of low pressure
still developed over inland Guangdong and lingered over the coastal
areas on Friday. Over this district, it was overcast with rain, heavy
at times and there were occasional thunderstorms. This unsettled weather
still persisted during the weekend. On the other hand, over the South
China sea, a tropical cyclone, named Nang Nangka, formed from a low
pressure, Nangka once intensified into a severe tropical storm. Nangka
moved northeastwards, crossed the Luzon Strait and became extratropical
over the sea to the south of Japan.
乾燥的大陸氣流於本星期初為本區帶
來晴朗及較為乾燥的天氣。一道低壓
槽在廣東內陸形成，並於星期五起徘
徊於沿岸地區；本區天陰有雨，雨勢
有時頗大，及間中有雷暴。不穩定的
天氣於週末仍然持續。另一方面，位
於南海的低壓區於星期日增強為一熱
帶氣旋，命名為浪卡；浪卡一度增強
為強烈熱帶風暴。浪卡向東北移動，
橫過呂宋海峽，於日本南部海域轉變
為一個溫帶氣旋。
