This week the weather was deteriorated as it was dominated by two
tropical cyclones. Severe Tropical Storm Koni crossed the northern part
of the South China Sea and landed over the southeast coast of Hainan.
Fresh winds and thundery showers affected the district on Monday evening
when it moves to the southwest of Hong Kong. Koni finally moved towards
northern Vietnam and weakened gradually. On Tuesday, Typhoon Imbudo crossed Luzon
and moves west-northwestwards or northwestwards over the South China Sea.
As it edged closer to Hong Kong on Wednesday night, with the closest
distance of 280 kilometres to the southwest of Hong Kong, winds became
strong to gale force. Squally showers were also observed. Imbudo landed
over western Guangdong on Thursday morning and dissipated in the next
couple of days. Winds subsided later on Thursday though showers
persisted. It became fine and hot during the weekend as affected by a
ridge of high pressure.

。當伊布都逐漸移近香港，移至香港
西南280公里（這是最接近距離）左右
，風勢加強至強風至烈風，並伴著狂
風驟雨。伊布都於星期四上午在廣東
西部陽江附近登陸，在隨後一兩日內
消散。本區風勢於星期四日間較後時
間緩和，但仍有驟雨。受一道高壓脊
影響，週末期間轉晴，日間天晴炎熱
。
