On Sunday and Monday, apart from some heavy showers, it was generally
fine and hot to very hot. Typhoon Dujuan moved westwards or west-northwestwards
rapidly from the sea to the south of Taiwan. It skirted the Pearl River
Estuary from Tuesday evening to Wesnesday midnight. Over this district,
frequent heavy squally showers and gale to storm force winds were
observed. After early morning on Wesnesday, winds subsided. Dujuan crossed
Guangdong and weakened into an area of low pressure over Guangxi.
Dujuan's outermost rainband still brought thundery rain to this district
around Wednesday evening. For the coming few days, as affected by a
broad area of low pressure over the northern part of the South China
Sea, it was mainly cloudy with occasional rain.
星期日及一，本區除有幾陣大驟雨外，
大致天晴，天氣炎熱至酷熱。颱風杜
鵑由台灣南部海域迅速向西或西北偏
西移動，於星期二傍晚至星期三午夜
時分橫掃珠江三角洲，並為本區帶來
狂風大驟雨及烈風至暴風。星期三清
晨過後，風勢緩和。杜鵑橫過廣東，
日間在廣西減弱為一低壓區。杜鵑的
外圍雨帶仍於傍晚為本區帶來雷雨。
隨後的幾天，受到南海北部的一個廣
闊低壓區影響，本區大致多雲及間中
有雨。
