A broad area of low pressure near Hainan brought rainy weather to coastal areas of Guangdong and the South China Sea early this week. Over this district, it was overcast with occasional heavy rain and thunderstorms from Sunday to Tuesday. For the rest of this week, it was fine and hot to very hot. A northeast monsoon was about to arrive the South China coast, resulting in cloudy weather on Saturday night.
