Early this week, a northwast monsoon brough cloudy and relatively cool weather to this district. Even there were episodes of heavy showers during the day on Sunday. On Monday and Tuesday, air temperatures were lower than those of last week, generally lingering between 24 and 29 degrees Celsius. For the rest of this week, it was mainly fine and hot over the district as a ridge of high pressure prevailed over the southern China. It was also dry during the day with relative humidity maintaining between 40 and 60 percents.
