A cold front arrived the coastal areas of southeastern China. A
northeast monsoon associated with the cold front brought rather cool
weather to this district from earlier this week to mid-week. On Sunday,
it was cloudy with occasional rain over the distict. From Monday to
Thursday, it was cool in the morning. The lowest air temperature was
recorded to be 14.9 degrees Celsius on Wednesday morning, which was the
lowest so far this autumn. Later this week, as the northeast monsoon
weakened gradually, the weather became fine and air temperature rose
up to above 20 degrees Celsius. On the other hand, Severe Tropical
Storm Nepartak crossed the central part of the Philippines and was now
crossing the South China Sea. It was forecast to turn in a more
northerly track in the general direction of Hainan. Under the combined
effect of Nepartak and the northeast monsoon, winds over the district
would strengthen next week, as forecast.
一道冷鋒星期日早上抵達華南沿岸地區，
與其相關的東北季候風於本星期初期及中
期為本區帶來相當清涼的天氣。星期日，

天氣清涼，星期三早上的最低氣溫為14.9
度，是今年入秋至現時為止的最低紀錄。
本週後期，東北季候風逐漸減弱，天氣轉
晴，氣溫逐步回升至20度以上。另一方面
，強烈熱帶風暴尼伯特於本週後期橫過菲
律賓中部並正橫過南海，預料尼伯特於未
來數天轉為較偏北方向移動，大致趨向海
南島。在尼伯特及東北季候風的共同影響
下，預料本區下週風勢增強。
