It was fine with some haze in Tsing Yi (North) on the morning of New Year's day.

As affected by a northeast monsoon, it was rather cool in this district on Sunday morning, with temperature as low as around 14 degrees Celsius. This northeast monsoon gradually weakened in the next couple of days. On the last couple of days in this year, the weather was mainly under the control of a ridge of high pressure. Apart from some cloudy periods at first, it was generally fine and mild with haze during the day. Afternoon temperature generally rose to above 23 degrees Celsius.
