On Sunday, it was fine with plenty of sunshine in this district.
It was also hot to very hot in the adternoon. A broad trough of low
pressure affected the district on Monday, there were showers around
noon, however sunny periods for the rest of the day. A strong
convection in this trough of low pressure intensified into a tropical
depression early in the morning on Tuesday. It landed in the vicinity
of Shantou late in the morning and weakened into an area of low pressure
in the afternoon. Affected by its approach, the weather over the
district changed from fine condition in the morning to cloudy and
hazy condition in the afternoon. On Wednesday, it remained cloudy. An
unstable southerly airstream brought heavy rain to the district on
Thursday. Throughout that day there was occasional rain, heavy at times
early in the morning. On Friday, it was mainly cloudy. Because of the
dominance by a ridge of high pressure, it became fine on Saturday and
it was also hot in that afternoon.
星期日，本區天晴及陽光充沛，下午天
氣炎熱至酷熱。一道廣闊低壓槽於星期
一影響本區，日間部分時間有陽光，近
中午時分亦有幾陣驟雨。該低壓槽中的
一個強對流於星期二清晨增強為一個熱
帶低氣壓，當日早上它在汕頭附近登陸
並在下午減弱為一個低壓區。受其影響
，本區天氣由早上的天晴轉為下午的多
雲，且有煙霞。星期三，持續多雲。一
股不穩定的偏南氣流於星期四為本區帶
來大雨；本區當日整天間中有雨，清晨
雨勢頗大。星期五，大致多雲。因受一
道高壓脊影響，星期六轉晴，下午天氣
炎熱。
