It was showery over this district this week. Sunday, it was cloudy in the morning, fine
and hot to very hot during the day. Monday, there were sunny periods and it was hot to very
hot. Affected by an area of low pressure over the northern part of South China Sea, it was
mainly cloudy with showers, but there were still sunny periods in the district from Tuesday
to Thursday. That area of low pressure moved to Beibu Wan on Thursday. Friday, it was fine
and hot, but hazy. Tropical Storm Sanvu entered the northern part of South China Sea and
moved towards southeastern China on Friday. That evening it brought showers and thunderstorms
to the district. During the weekend, Sanvu intensified into a Severe Tropical Storm and landed
in the vincinity of Shantou around noon and across eastern Guangdong. Under the influence of
intense rainbands associated with Sanvu, there were thunderstorms and frequent heavy squally
showers in the afternoon and at night. Gusts of strong to gale force were even observed. Sanvu
weakened into a Tropical Storm that evening and across Jiangxi that night.
今個星期，本區有較多驟雨。星期日，早上多雲，日間大致天晴，天氣炎熱至
酷熱。星期一，部分時間有陽光，天氣炎熱至酷熱。受南海北部的一個低壓區
影響，本區於星期二至四大致多雲，有驟雨，但部分時間亦有陽光；該低壓區
於星期四已移至北部灣。星期五，日間大致天晴，天氣炎熱，但有煙霞。熱帶
風暴珊瑚於星期五進入南海北部並趨向中國東南部，並於當日黃昏為本區帶來
驟雨及雷暴。星期六，珊瑚在南海北部增強為強烈熱帶風暴，於中午時份在汕
頭附近登陸，橫過廣東東部；受珊瑚的強烈雨帶影響，下午及晚上有雷暴及頻
密狂風大驟雨，陣風更達強風至烈風程度。珊瑚於當日傍晚減弱為一熱帶風暴
，晚間橫過江西。
