Affected by outermost sinking air of Typhoon Talim, there were showers and thunderstorms in Tsing Yi (North) around mid-night on Wednesday. This lightning photo was the first time to be captured by the new live web cam, that was in service late August in the weather station.

Sunday, an easterly airstream affected the coastal areas of Guangdong. It was cloudy with sunny periods over this district. Under the influence of a low pressure near Hainan, there were showers in the district early in the morning on Monday, but it turned to be generally fine during that day. Tuesday, apart from showers in the morning, it was fine and hot during the day, Typhoon Talim edged closer to Taiwan on Wednesday night. Affected by its outermost sinking air, it was fine with abundant sunshine, and hot to very hot. Air temperature rose to 33 degrees in the afternoon. However, around midnight that night, there were showers and thunderstorms. Talim crossed Taiwan on Thursday morning and landed Fujian in the afternoon. Then it crossed Fujian and Jiangxi, and weakened into an area of low pressure in early hours on Friday. Over the district, it was fine with plenty of sunshine, and hot to very hot on Thursday. Friday, it was hot to very hot and there were sunny periods. There were also haze because of weak wind. Remnants of Talim brought showers and some thunderstorms to the district on Saturday morning and early in that afternoon. Sunny intervals were still observed later in that afternoon.

四，陽光充沛，天氣炎熱至酷熱；星期五，天氣炎熱至酷熱，部分時間有陽光
，但由於風力較弱關係，有煙霞形成；泰利的殘餘於星期六早上及下午初時為
本區帶來驟雨及幾陣雷暴，下午較後時間則短暫時間有陽光。
