Early this week, Typhoon Damrey steadily moved westwards, across Hainan and Beibu Wan,
and landed over northern Vietnam. Under the influence of the outermost rainbands of Damrey,
there were heavy squally showers over this district on Sunday. Still there were showers
throughout the day on Monday and during the day on Tuesday. Wednesday onwards, a ridge of
high pressure brought generally pleasant weather to southeastern China. For the district,
it was fine and there was abundant sunshine. It was also hot in the afternoon. However, there
was haze on Saturday. On the other hand, Typhoon Longwang over northwestern Pacific moved
westwards or west-northwestwarns towards Taiwan later this week.
本星期初，颱風達維穩定地向西移動，橫過海南島及北部灣，登陸越南北部。
受達維的外圍雨帶影響，本區於星期日有狂風大驟雨，星期一整天及星期二
日間仍然有驟雨。星期三起，一道高壓脊為華南帶來普遍良好天氣，本區天
晴及陽光充沛，下午天氣炎熱；星期六下午則有煙霞。另一方面，位於西北
太平洋上的颱風龍王，於本週後期向西或西北偏西移動，趨向台灣。
