The easterly airstream, that affected this district, gradually moderated early this week.
Sunday and Monday, it was cloudy with bright to sunny periods over the district. A cold front
over southeastern China moved southwards. It crossed the coastal areas of southeastern China
on Tuesday morning. Throughout that day, it was cloudy in the district and there was drizzle
in the morning. The northeast monsoon associated with the cold front brought cool, fine and
dry weather to the district. Air temperature over the district gradually dropped. Air temperature
of 18.8 degrees was once recorded on Saturday morning. It was the first time in winter of
this year to have air temperature of below 20 degrees. Besides, relative humidity was recorded
to be less than 60 per cent later this week. On the other hand, Severe Tropical Storm Bolaven
to the east of the Philippines moved very slowly early this week. It turned to move westwards
or west-northwestwards towards Luzon later. However, it weakened into a tropical storm over the
weekend.
影響本區的偏東氣流於本星期初逐漸緩和。星期日及一，本區多雲，部分時
間天色明朗或有陽光。華南的一道冷鋒向南移動，並於星期二早上橫過華南
沿岸地區；本區整天多雲，早上有毛毛雨。該冷鋒隨後的東北季候風為本區
帶來清涼、天晴及乾燥的天氣，本區氣溫逐漸下降；星期六早上氣溫一度低
至18.8度，亦是今年入冬以來首次錄得不足20度。另外，本星期後期的濕度
亦在百分之60以下。另一方面，位於菲律賓以東的強烈熱帶風暴布拉萬，於
本週初期移動緩慢，後期則轉為向西或西北偏西移動，趨向呂宋，但於週末
減弱為熱帶風暴。
