A winter monsoon arrived this district early in the morning on Sunday. It brought cool to cold weather to the district throughout this week. Sunday, it was fine and dry. Monday to Wednesday, it was cloudy and rather cool. Morning temperature remained between 14 and 15 degrees. Thursday to Friday, the monsoon further strengthened, hence the weather became cold to very cool. Air temperature fell to about 12 to 14 degrees. Although it was fine, it was very dry during the day with relative humidity of below 30 per cent once recorded. During the weekend, it was cool in the morning, and there was abundant sunshine in the afternoon. However, it was severely dry. Relative humidity over the district was recorded to be 8 per cent, that phenonemon was so rare.
