Sunday, as affected by a northerly airstream, it was fine and dry over this district. While Typhoon Chanchu was approaching, cloud amount increased on Monday, however, there were still sunny periods. Chanchu continued to move northwards on Tuesday and Wednesday, edging closer to the coast of Guangdong. There were occasional strong winds and isolated squally showers. Chanchu began to turn northeastwards and leave further away Wednesday afternoon onwards. Winds gradually weakened during that evening. As affected by an anticyclone, it became fine and dry on Thursday and Friday. Nevertheless, it was cloudy with showers on Saturday. On the other hand, Chanchu landed over the east of Shantou, skirted the coastal areas of Fujian and Zhejiang, entered the East China Sea and weakened into an area of low pressure on the next day.

珍珠於星期二及星期三繼續向北移動，
進一步接近廣東海岸；本區間中有強風
及零散狂風驟雨。星期三下午珍珠開始
轉向東北遠離，傍晚時分風勢逐漸減弱
。受一個反氣旋影響，星期四及五轉晴
及變得乾燥。星期六，多雲及有驟雨。
另一方面，珍珠於星期四清晨在汕頭以
東登陸後，掠過福建和浙江沿岸地區，
進入東海，並於翌日減弱為一低壓區。
