As on 1 Jun 2006, Tsing Yi (North) weather station was relocated 1 km to the south of the original place, now centred at 22.35N 114.10E. For the new position, there are some small hills surrounding in south to southwest direction while it is open in south to southeast direction with harbour scenery towards Kwai Chung Cargo Terminal and Wan Chai.

Rainy weather was prevailing throughout this week owing to the influence by an active trough of low pressure. Sunday, overcast with rain, heavy at times. Monday, cloudy with showers. Tuesday, cloudy with occasional rain. Wednesday, overcast with rain, heavy at times. Thursday, cloudy with occasional rain. Friday, the weather was adverse with rain and thunderstorms. There were even downpours in the morning and early afternoon. Saturday, cloudy with showers.
