Early this week, an easterly airstream affected the coastal areas of Guangdong. For this district, there were occasional showers from Sunday to Tuesday. There was even thundery rain to be developed on Monday morning, that brought more than 20 millimetres of rainfall to the district. Wednesday to Friday, there were sunny periods. However, there were some espisodes of heavy showers during the day on Thursday, resulting in recording over 20 millimetres of rainfall. During the weekend, as affected by a ridge of high pressure, there was abundant sunshine over the district. And it was hot to very hot in the afternoon with temperature up to near 33 degrees.
