Apart from a few showers early in the morning, there were sunny periods on Sunday. Monday and Tuesday, a ridge of high pressure brought fine and hot to very hot weather to this district. In the vicinity of Luzon, an area of low pressure developed into a tropical depression. After crossing Luzon and entering South China Sea, it further intensified into a typhoon, named Prapiroon. Under the influence of Prapiroon, there were strong to gale force winds, accompanied with squally showers over the district on Wednesday and Thursday. Prapiroon moved away from Hong Kong at the distance of 250 km to the southwest on Thursday and made landfall to the east of Zhangjiang that night. Although Prapiroon gradually weakened inland later this week, its associated rainbands persisted to affect the district, bringing cloudy to overcast weather with occasional rain and at first squally showers.

呂宋附近的低壓區增強為一熱帶低氣壓
，橫過呂宋及進入南海後，並進一步增
強為颱風，並命名為派比安。受派比安
影響，星期三及四，本區吹強風至烈風
，有狂風驟雨。派比安於星期四在香港
西南約250公里掠過，並於當晚在湛江以
東附近登陸。雖然派比安於本週後期在
內陸逐漸減弱，但其相關的雨帶影響仍
然影響本區；本區多雲至密雲，間中有
雨，初時有狂風驟雨。
