    This week, a ridge of high pressure brought generally fine weather to southeast China. For most of the time, it was fine over this district. There was plenty of sunshine and it was hot to very hot in the afternoon. Nevertheless, there were some showers during Friday night and heavy thundery rain on Saturday morning. During the day on Saturday, as affected by a continental airstream, there were sunny periods.
