A dry continental airstream brought fine and dry weather to Tsing Yi this week. Friday onwards, an intense northeast monsoon took place and began to affect Tsing Yi. However, fine weather persisted. On the other hand, an area of low pressure over the central part of South China Sea intensified into a tropical depression on Friday evening. It moved westwards at first, but gradually reverted to the northwest later, in the general direction of Vietnam.
