You know how it is when you eat "JAYS POTATO CHIPS"? You cant eat just one? Well we decided to find a girlfriend for Simba. We called a lady in New Haven Indiana who was selling a few doxies due to the fact that her grandson moved in with her. He purchased a few doxie puppies, and he moved out and dumped the dogs on her almost a year and a half later, and she couldn't care for them because she worked all the time. What can we say about Lilly? In a few words, MOMMIES BIG BABY. Every one that has met her falls in love with her, talk about stealing ones heart, and that she does. We have had her only a few months now and cant even imagine what our lives would be like without her. She sleeps in bed with us under the covers, her favorite place to be is with me and she cries when I'm not around. She lays on the arm of the couch or up on the back and watches the squirrels out the window. She sleeps in the beanbag next to the computer chair, and if I leave, she has to be right there where ever I'm at. Lilly loves to chew her rawhide bones and make noise with her squeaky stuffed bone and doing the "doxie burn" up and down the hallway and around the coffee table. She sounds like a herd of elephants stampeding. She sits up and begs when she wants to get up in our bed, and goes nuts when she is told "ok lets go". She goes in the car with us for rides and walks our daughter Erica to and from the bus stop every day. All the kids think its cool, "Look at the doggie with her sweater on". My parents fell in love with her and say how much she reminds them of "Heidi" and that you can bring Lilly to our house any time. Mom said that she would never allow any dogs in her new condo with her new carpet and furniture, just goes to show how special Lilly is. She truly knows how to wrap everyone around her little finger. Lilly is a real sweetheart. She should produce some excellent pups for us in the near future. Only problem is that when we brought her home, we took one look at her and one look at Simba and realized that this isn't going to work. We didn't realize that there were two sizes of Dachshunds. He is a standard, twice her size and she's a miniature. It would literally kill her if we bred them together. So after a month of internet searching, along came "BUMPER" see his page for more info under OUR BOYS. |
