The Kid was originally destined to be the new boy in town with Gerona MacCuaig of Jothona Kennels. But just a day before his first show, he had an almost fatal accident at her cottage. It was the longest drive in her life to the vet's, first by boat to the mainland and then by car to the vet. He lived but was a long time healing so he was never entered in a conformation show.

Kid was bred to Terra, giving us Can Bda Ch Weeskelf This Is Who Deenie. Also used to one of Gerona's girls, he produced for her, the bitch that beat Deenie at the 1990 CMPC National Specialty. (Now you know how close that win was!)

Kid was a true gentleman. He was whelped here at Weeskelf and had to be hand raised by our family after losing his mother the day he was born. My son fell in love with him, and he with my son. At 18 months old, or so, Gerona gave him to my son. They were inseperable.

Kid is no longer with us, but throughout his short 10 year's of life with his calm demeanor, he brought peace to his juniors (min pins), gathered many friendships for his human counterparts with his "Hi I'm the Kid" loving attitude, and he may have been the first Min Pin in Canada to obtain a Temperament Test (TT) title. Everyday we see a reflection of the Kid in the Min Pins here at home. His brains, his style, movement, and structure often cause us to reflect on how much they are like him, but they can never replace him. We miss you dearly Kiddo!
