Francesca Lia Block lives in L.A. Besides the Weetzie Bat books she has written Girl Goddess #9, The Hanged Man and I Was A Teenage Fairy. Her first book was published in 1989. Most of her books are set in L.A. She has writen for Spin magazine and was named one of Buzz magazine's "Coolest People in LA". Her latest book is called Nymph and she has many books to come like The Rose and the Beast: Fairy Tales Retold due out October 2000.
