In order to be added to the "Queue" and be given a Site ID, you must go to http://dir.webring.yahoo.com/join . In the Search box enter WestHollywood Community. On the page which opens click on the WestHollywood Community Webring link, and proceed from there. Once you are in the Queue the Ringmaster will review your site to ensure that it is suitable for addition to the WestHollywood Community Webring and respects this Webring's Guidelines. Your site will then be approved for addition to the webring. |

Once you have your Site ID, you must add the necessary code to your Home Page. Since Yahoo! took over Webring, they have introduced an automatic Navigation Bar (called the navbar) for webring sites, but they have also undertaken that the old webring panels will continue to work for the foreseeable future. Existing webring members therefore do not need to change their existing code fragments (unless they want to, of course), but new members should proceed through the Yahoo! webring-joining process. In that case, you should follow the "Get Navigation Bar" link on the Yahoo!webring page to get the code. Once you have inserted it into your source code and the site has been approved for addition to the Ring, Yahoo! will automatically activate it. If the Yahoo! computer finds there is no relevant code in your source code it will not add the site to the Ring.
Congratulations! You should now have a fully functioning site in the WestHollywood Community Webring. |
