Laptop CD-ROM interface

Follow the pin assignment as the picture above, pin 1 -> pin 1, pin 2 -> pin 2, pin 3 -> pin 3……

Pin 41 – 45 no connection in this case, pin 46 – 50 connect to +5V.

The above connection is only specifying for the model Compaq CD-224E. I have got some information for the standard CD-ROM interface as below.
