WEIRD HERO is a hard rock/metal band based out of Bristol, CT which specializes in hard hitting riffs, irresistible grooves, and intelligent songwriting. Formed in 2000, with each member having over ten years experience, WEIRD HERO’s music is written with skill and creativity. Their music delivers everything that you thought was missing from today’s music. The band easily shifts gears from heavy rock to the current, in demand, progressive style, and everything in between. Driving guitars, hook-laden melodies, and thoughtful, offbeat lyrics make WEIRD HERO stand out in rock ‘n roll’s current stagnant and predictable landscape. The four-piece group is fronted by singer/songwriter Jay Messier on guitar and songwriter Tom Myers on guitar and backup vocals. Chris Crespo keeps the group on a tight beat with precise double bass-style drumming, and bass player Scott Messier anchors the music with thick and furious bass riffs. Having many diverse interests and backgrounds in music, the members of WEIRD HERO have created an arsenal of original material, which is varied in style, with something to please every type of music fan.
