Barry Recorder (Live at the Chapel - 1999) Barry Recorder
is the Dischords founder and the sniffing glue that keeps this team together. Currently he is studying International Business and French at a prestigious local University. He will round out his studies with a couple terms in Paris. He has studied piano for longer than he can remember and is fond of Scott Joplin. His vocal impersonations of Barry Gibb are the foundation of the Dischords. Since 1999 he has been studying the bass guitar, which has moved the Dischords in a new direction and has allowed them to become more experimental with their music. His influences include John Entwistle, Paul McCartney, Mick Mars, German and French rap groups, and Barry Gibb.

Robin Recorder (Live at the Chapel - 1999)Robin Recorder
is Barry's sister. She learned to play piano from Mr. Bungleworth right alongside her brother, but it is her voice that brings a classy tone to this band. She says that, ideally, her voice has "The eardrum-busting volume of Roger Daltrey, the foghorn quality of Jay Farrar, the cigarette-smoking rasp of Jeff Tweedy yet the low silky ambiance of David Bowie, with occasional Diamanda Galas-style screams, and, of course, the Robin Gibb quaver." However, she also adds, "I should never attempt to sound like Kate Bush. Or Robert Plant. Bad idea---just watch me do "Stairway to Weaven" at the Live at the Chapel concert, and you'll see what I mean. SO embarrassing!"

Shortly before her graduation from Hannibal La-Grange College in December of 2002, she married LeRoy Bach of Wilco. She now has a Bachelor's degree in both Theatre Arts and English, and a lot of time to devote to her music. This spring, Robin is busy sharpening her piano, guitar, harmonica, and production skills. She has completed her first solo single, "Bootlegger" (this song is a tragically-comic portrait of her relative Joseph Schmitz, who was a bootlegger in St. Louis during the Prohibition) and it will be released in the coming months. She is also currently working with singer/songwriter Becky "Barf" Perry, and they have completed their first single as well. Last fall, Robin ganged up with the Preus Sisters and Jones on an original song called "Birthday Beer," which has yet to be released.

Robin Recorder loves clothes, music, and chicken scampie. She claims that her greatest fashion influences are Jimmy Page, David Bowie, Doc Hollliday, and Jeff Tweedy, and that her greatest musical influences (not to be confused with her greatest fashion influences!) are Roger Daltrey, Uncle Tupelo, Bennett and Burch, The Kinks, The Beatles, Jeff Tweedy, and, of course, Robin Gibb.

Roylee Moon Starr (Live at the Chapel - 1999)Roylee Moon Starr (Aug 5, 1980 - Jul 8, 1007)
is the most ellusive band member. He is the newest member of the Dischords, joining them on their third album Dancing Skittles. Roylee saw the dismissal of The Idiots and ushered in the Professor and the Pupil, who have been known to perform under the pseudonemns Superintendent A and Superintendent B. Though Roylee is able to jest with these characters, his musical talent is no joke. He is accomplished on the guitar, keyboards, bass and percussion via anything within striking distance. His composition and arranging skills have moved the Dischords out of the childish playmates messaround and into Music.

Roylee graduated from Hannibal La-Grange College in May 2004. He continued making music and mayhem in Columbia, Missouri until he died on July 8, 2007, in Monteverde, Costa Rica.
