Cat Tricks 2
Shaking Hands:
Cats are very front-paw oriented. Put your cat in front of you, touch her front paw and say, "Shake." The second she lifts her paw, shake it. Praise her while you give her a small food treat.

Coming:
Put your cat in front of you about two yards to start, then go further and further. Start to call your cat Ex. Say Tigger come! Only say this once. Give them a treat when they come to you and praise them. Also try shaking the treat box and saying their name at the same time to help them come.

Sit:
Put your cat in front of you on all four paws. Tell them to sit. Move the treat back so that they will sit down. Then tell them how good they are.

Lay Down:
Put your cat in front of you on all four paws. First tell them to sit, then to lay down. Move the treat forward again and down so that they will lie down. Tell them how good they are after they did the trick.

Sit-Up:
Make sure that your cat can sit before you do this trick. When sitting, move the treat forward and a little up. They should sit-up then. Tell them how good they are after they did the trick.

Stand-Up:
Make sure that your cat can sit and sit-up before you do this trick. When they sit-up, move the treat up higher so the cat will go for the treat. They might try to get the treat by pulling it closer with their paws. They should stand-up then. Tell them how good they are then after they did the trick.
