So here I am with more play-by-plays. I WILL eventually get through the series, but first I have to actually get MY hands on them. ^^; Anywhoo, here's the next few eps:
Episode Four: Rhodesia
Eyecatch: Izumi Sena
The episode opens with Aya and Kyou hearing Sena's screams, and head off his way. They find him walking out of the principal's office, looking kind of dead. (Dead on his feet, that is.) They ask him what happened, but he says nothing. He doesn't have to. Aya spots the blood on his Chakram, and steps into the office where he spots the principal's body. Aya grabs Sena and slams him against the wall, demanding to know why he did it. He's mighty pissed. The camera zooms out the window, and Sena says nothing.
Todo (Führer) is staring outa window. Another S-class member tells him everything is going according to plan. He talks about thanking 'him' for 'his' help. When asked about the body, Todo says Inagaki-san is handling it. Shot of G-class students zipping the principal into a bodybag. Todo goes on to say how the Goddess of Fate is telling him exactly what to do and say. It's like someone is talking to him inside his head. According to an S-class girl, that makes him chosen by the gods. She goes on to say all preparations have been made, and they are all ready to go with him.
The flowershop. [Complete with 'close' sign] Rex and the others are questioning Sena about killing the principal without a mission. Sena tells them about meeting Todo in the woods, and what he was told there. Aya is not impressed. Persia's orders are to investigate. Killing the principal makes him no different from a murderer. While Sena is still trying to come to grips with that thought, Rex says they were trying to get info on the people pulling the principal's strings. Now that's impossible. That's when he reveals that Todo gave him his information, but he can't answer why.
Sena is now on the floor in his room, beside the bed, looking miserable. Rex, Aya and Kyou are still discussing the incident. Sena is being used it seems, [but you knew that already, didn't you?] but what Todo's up to is still a mystery.
In his office, Todo talks to a girl about Izumi Sena and the two other Weiß members (but they don't mention Aya or Kyou by name)... They have a "grand plan" to commence, and if Weiß interferes, he'll pay them back for it.
Various shots around the school. The G-class is raising hell, going after various Kouwa staffers. In the monitoring room, the S-class oversees it all. In the principal's office, Todo and his right-hand-girl oversee them. He orders the brain-washing to stop.
In the shop, Aya's ready for school. He asks Rex not to take her eyes of Sena. He thinks Todo knows about Sena, and thinks that Sena's still hiding something [Some secretary Rex is, if Aya always knows more than she does.] Kyou is on the stairs, listening. He goes to see Sena. In Sena's room, he admits he wanted to kill the principal, too. But he swallowed it and followed orders, but he wants to find out what happened to his little brother. [Now these two are always sufficiently in the dark like our originals used to be, in the 'good old days'].. Kyou believes there are still ways to find that out. He leaves, but not before telling Sena that he reminds Kyou of his little brother.
In an office, Inagaki tells a suit that the principal of Kouwa collapsed at school. They tried to take him to hospital, he claims, but it was too late. But nothing will change.
Aya's walking to school. A voiceover is of him talking to Kyou. He's going to see if any staffers are acting differently. He's leaving Todo to Kyou. They need to find his intentions. When Aya gets to the staff room, the other teachers are utterly confused. They can't log in to the computers there. They can't get ahold of the principal, either. That's when an S-class, and two G-class students enter. (the G-class guys have BIG pipes) The S-class guy orders the teachers to sit down. In Kyou's class, two more G-class are doing the same thing. ["Shut up! Sit down!"... reminds me of Judge Judy.] The computer monitors pop up at the same time, and Todo is on the screen. Here's his speech:
I have an announcement to make to all students. Last night, Principal Inagaki passed away. Please don't become uneasy. Right now, there is a quote in my mind from a well-known leader of the past. "Heaven has set myself as the emancipator of all humanity." The time has come. We, of the upper class, under the directions of the S-class social instructors declare independance from Kouwa Academy."
Sena is going over Kyou's words to him in his mind. A flashback of him killing Inagaki. Flashback of young Sena watching someone (presumeaby his mother) shoot a man (presumeably his father). Could Todo have known? Sena charges out of the room.
Back at Kouwa, We continue with Todo's speech:
I entered this school with the ideals of becoming a future leader. I am pretty sure the same goes for the rest of you. But please, think about this for a moment. Were your ideals of an "elite leader" the same as the teachers, starting with Principal Inagaki, were trying to educate? No, it should have been different. This is because the teachers were merely trying to create students who were absolutely loyal to them.If we were placed in present-day society, would we truly be able to function as leaders? With the minds of the students who chose to attend this school, I'm pretty sure you already know the answer. Unless we break free from the teachers - no, the school - we cannot become true leaders. (shot of Rex coming into Sena's room to find it empty) Everyone, the same leader also made this statement: "Humans are the gods of the revolutionary path. Humans strive forever to supass their limitations. If they stop and close themselves up, they wither away and fall below the natural limits." But take a look at the current situation. Today, people have forgotten how to strive, are withering away, and are following the path of indolence. Only we, who have not forgotten that humans are the Gods of the evolutionary path, are allowed to evolve into new beings. Only we are allowed to become leaders and build an ideal society. Together, let's create our ideal society. Comrades, this is the time to stand up!
The students in Kyou's class start chanting Todo's name.Sena zooms up to the school on his bike (in uniform). Todo is informed of it. Todo didn't think Sena'd come back, but they have a group stationed at the flower shop. [subbed as hanaya...hana-ya is "flowershop"... Oops.] They're going to use him as sort of a target/scapegoat for the other students. They announce him as a 'traitor' and sic the students on him. The person who catches him will get a promotion to S-class.
Todo discovers a new class of student on Inagaki's computer. Z-class. He opens the file, and seemingly random images and numbers flash across the screen. Todo seems to recognise it.
Sena, hiding in some bushes, is quite literally, jumped by some G-class guys. Misaki is there too. She's dissapointed that no one came to help Sena, but after some manipulation, he'll tell them everything. Kyou cuts in just in time. He insists that Sena leave. Once Sena does, he admits he's the other Weiß.
Episode Five: It's too late
Eyecatch: Tsukiyono Omi / Takatori Mamoru
The episode starts with the manhunt for Sena still on. In the teachers' lounge, Aya's Lady teacher friend asks the G-class guys what's going on, and where is Todo. The answer is "You teachers don't need to know! You'll have to stay here, or else I'll have to resort to violence."
The scene cuts back to the Sena-hunt, where Aya takes off into the woods decisively. Cut to Kyou and the G-class guys. Misaki tells Kyou that if he can embrace "the Führer's" Ideals, then they'll allow him a place. (in the G-class, presumeably) Kyou blows off the offer, asking them if they really think Inagaki could have pulled off the brainwashing scheme all by himself. He insists they tell Todo about that, and call off the "child's play". Misaki is insulted, but Kyou insists that there is someone else behind everything. Someone they just can't beat. Misaki tells him to shut up and sics the G-class on him.
In Inagaki's office, Todo is still at the computer. He's reading something off the screen.
A new Ravensoul program initiated. By stimulating the physical combat abilities and mental abilities, the creation of a being with super-human abilities is possible. This is capable of creating reliable, complete, super-humans much faster than possible compared to regular training.
Todo is excited. The Z-class. "I'll take it. All of it" he says.
The scene is now Grandpa Takatori's place. Omi has come to visit him. (Or Mamoru, as Grandpa still calls him) THe old man is confined to a wheelchair, and Omi is pushing him around the place. Grandpa Takatori is rich. Omi confesses some of his insecurities to his grandpa. He knows he needs to find out who's behind everything, but he feels bad about using Aya-kun and the other Weiss members as bait. Grandpa says that Shuichi felt the same way when He became Persia. ("Dad,too?" Omi exclaims. It seems he now knows who his real daddy was.) Then grandpa tells Omi that if he feels so guilty, he should resign as Persia.
Cut to the basement of the flower shop. A klaxon-like sound is coming from the computer, which is doing things on it's own, with no one sitting at it. The doorcam comes on the screen. Two more G-class are there. It's closed, so they blow the door off.
Cut to Sena, hiding behind a tree. He struggles to get up just as a B-class (Sena's class) member in another tree spots him and jumps him. Aya intercepts him just in time to save Sena from the guy's metallic baseball bat. Aya orders the B-class guy to get back to class, but the kid just tells Aya to shut up and get out of his way. HE'S the one going to S-class. (his pupils are little bitty things, resulting in a not-so-sane expression) Aya gives him a karate-chop to the back of the neck, and the kid passes out. Then Aya turns on Sena. "Why did you disobey orders again!?" he demands. Sena begs Aya to save Kyou, and we cut to him.
Kyou is fighting the G-class, who are armed with knives. Misaki is frustrated that it's taking so long, to which Kyou replies that if she wants it quick, he'll settle things quickly. He jumps off of a G-class, lands behind the girl, and puts an arm around her neck. She demands what he's going to accomplish, and he just pulls out a little black dealie, and says "why don't you go with me." Cut to Aya and Sena, where an explosion is heard.
Cut back to Omi and Grandpa. "So what if I quit being Persia?" Omi asks. Nothing will change. Someone else will give them merciless tasks, Grandpa says.Is that okay with Omi? To leave the guys he risked his life with in someone else's hands? Omi doesn't want that. He has no choice but to keep being Persia.
Back at Koneko, the G-class guys gingerly look inside. Rex's blue car speeds away from the scene from just away the corner, and the G-class give chase. Rex crashes into a streetlight, but keeps on driving. Grandpa Takatori continues his speech, via voiceover. They chose the path of Weiss of their own free will, he explains. So did Omi. The scene cuts back to Omi, looking determined, and the background fades to black, and shifts to the G-class in the woods, on the ground, clutching their faces. "My eyes!" quite a few are saying. The result of a Stun Grenade, Aya recognises. Kyou has probably gone after Todo, not to kill him, but to protect Sena from further punishment. Even if they DO kill Todo, Aya says, the school's scheme will continue. If Sena's forgotten the mission, then that makes him no better than a murderer. Sena takes it hard, but Aya tells him to regret his actions later, and takes off in search of Kyou and Todo. Sena follows.
Todo is now at one of the pillars of the old gazebo-in-a-lake type thing. He rotates a small section of it, and a patch of floor opens up.He grins.
Back at the teacher's lounge, the G-class guards learn that Misaki was kidnapped. They are ordered to search the S-class dorms, and they leave to do so. Aya's lady-friend asks the other teachers to help her, but no one moves. The green-haired teacher admits that they're all scared. The students are listening to Todo, and have even taken up arms against another student. Todo is a student, the lady-friend says. He has no right to do what he's doing. If they're scared, then why are they teachers? THe green haired teacher agrees to help.
Kyou opens the door of the principal's office, Misaki in tow. Todo is, of course, not there, so they go back down the hallway. Kyou throws Misaki up against a wall, and demands to know where Todo is. Misaki says she doesn't know, and Kyou insists that Todo is the one in trouble. If she doesn't want her Führer to die, she should tell him. That's when someone calls Misaki's name, and she calls out that the traitor is with her. Kyou punches her out, and bolts.
In a creepy-looking, dark hallway, Todo finds a room containing scientific-looking equipment. The S-class is nothing compared to this, Todo admits.
In the field, students are fighting amongst themselves, when the PA turns on. The Green-haired teacher is speaking: (Tsujii-sensei is her name)
Everybody, please calm down. It's true that Todo is a brilliant student, but he's no more than a student, like any of you. Do you think it's possible for one student to grant a promotion to S-class without even the acceptance of the principal? Todo-kun is not in charge of the administration of the school. Everyone, please return to your classes and rethink all of this.
It seems to have done the trick, and the students put down their weapons and walk calmly back inside.
Todo tries to open another door, but the door doesn't accept his keycard. Fortunately for him, it opens anyway, since a guy in a lab coat is leaving. He spots Todo and drops his folder. Todo asks what's behind the door. And experiment, the lab technician says. Then he recognises Todo as "CPD1", and seems thrilled that "the program was a success! A miracle!"Todo gets pissed and tosses the guy aside, and goes in. The lab Techie leaves. Todo is faced with five suspended-animation type pods.
Aya and Todo watch the students return to class. They're still brainwashed, Aya says. They have to find Kyou. In a window of the building, a B-class student jumps, and lands on his feet. It's Kyou. He overhears students commenting on how they'll ask Todo what's going on... they decide to go to class and wait for a message. There is the sound of a phone going off. A woman's voice answers. She mentions Todo, and then says "it's all as expected. I'm headed that way." There is a shot of high-heeled shoes standing by the hole in the floor of the gazebo. Kyou is watching, and he recognises her, even if he doesn't say her name.
Todo walks up to the pods. There are boys inside. Naked boys (NO you don't see anything.) They look JUST LIKE Todo. As he gazes at one, its eyes open, and Todo is seriously freaked. The pods open, and the Todo-look-alikes sit up, and otherwise do nothing. Todo is scared. "Why?" he says. "Why am I here?!" The same red shoes, this time with the bottom of a lab coat, walk in a hallway with windows that open into the upper part of the (very tall) room. The woman is in silhouette. "Because you were created here." The woman says. Todo looks up at her with wide eyes.
Aya and Sena head fora rather tall tower. When they arrive, a boy in a red uniform greets them, with "Nice to meet you, Weiss." He introduces himself as Sagiri from Z-class. He was asked to play with them for a while. He jumps down from his perch near the top, and Sena charges towards him. [Sagiri has one brown eye and one blue eye] Sagiri manages to kick Sena on his way down. Aya rushes to help, but Sagiri is too fast.
Todo struggles with the reality that he is, in fact, a clone. Him, and the Todos-in-pods, are all clones of one original. Todo denies it, and insists he's the original. The woman agrees that Todo is special. They could create a perfect body, but not a mind, so they thought about it. They replaced the mind with a program. Flashbacks of various suicides flash on the screen, and probably in Todo's mind. Todo succeeded in that test, the lady says. Todo insists he acted according to his own gfree will, that he's not a program, but the lady laughs at him. Todo finally seems to accept it, but he's not happy. The reason they brainwashed the students, the lady says, is to create a program to place inside Todo. Inagaki believed it was for the good of the School. Poor Todo doesn't even know who he is anymore. The lady goes on to say Todo is very clever. With everything he's done, he produced excellent results for their test. Todo's eyes go eerily blank, and he sinks into one of hte pods. In fact, finding out who Weiss was wasn't even in the original program. But the game ends here. THey'll use his data for the next project. An elevator at the end of the hall opens, and Kyou is there. He confronts the lady, and mentions his brother Suzumu. Another Z-class, this time a girl, is behind him. Kyou yells at Todo to run, but Todo doesn't respond [ I think they 'turned him off'] Kyou tries to fight her, but he gets the same results as Aya did. The girl kicks him through the glass, onto the floor of the room, next to Todo. A knife falls at Todo's feet. The girl follows, but the camera stays on Todo. He's smiling slightly, having spotted the knife. The chosen elite? It makes him laugh. HE goes for the knife, and Kyou fights with the Z-class girl (she has dead eyes, like Sagiri.) Kyou mangages to spot Todo in the process of impaling himself, and begs him to stop, but Todo does it anyway. "Who am I?" He gasps, and dies. Kyou has a flashback of his own brother's hanging. He walks over to Todo's body. "Suzumu, what's wrong?" he says, placing a hand on Todo's shoulder (Suzumu looks just like Todo, except with curlier hair) He begs "Suzumu" to wake up (Todo's body has tears coming from his eyes), but Todo is dead. Todo turns into Suzumu (the outfit and tears change), and Kyou looks down at him with a loving glance. Let's go home, he says.
Sena is still fighting Sagiri. He chokes Sena against the Tower. Aya lands a mighty kick, but Sagiri doesn't even mobve, and Aya looks stunned. Sagiri slaps him, and Aya goes flying. He doesn't get up. Sena does, and Sagiri walks towards him, but is stopped when one of Rex's bullets grazes him. He leaps back on top of the tower. He leaves, saying it's time, and he hopes they meet again. A high-pitched noise is heard from the woods. It's the Lady-friend, screaming. She's at the Gazebo. On the steps, are Kyou and Todo's body, each with a knife through their chests, in each other's arms. Sena collapses to his knees. He's crying, and he cries Kyou's name.
Episode Six: No Reason
Eyecatch: Kudou Yohji
The episode opens with a shot of two boys dressed in black as seen through a window. They're lying on the floor. Cut to the inside of the building, and you can see several more, presumeably dead. A woman's legs are seen going down a staircase, and then we get another shot of the dead G-class. Now we see the woman is carrying a gun. Finally, the woman comes to the roof of the building she's in. At the far end of the roof, is a shadowy figure. We are presented with a closeup of the figure. It's Yohji, and he's got something pressed to his mouth. He's playing it like a flute. The woman speaks to Yohji, saying she knows the song he's playing. Now Yohji and the woman break into what appears to be a lovers' spat. The woman accuses Yohji of lying when he said he never lied to Women. Yohji takes the thing from his lips (he's dressed in his mission gear, by the way) and says he did tell her one truth. He doesn't say what that was, but she seems to know what he's talking about. (She has a mole under her eye, sort of like Murase Asuka) She says she wants to end the games, and then points her gun at Yohji. She accuses Yohji of taking advantage of her. Yohji turns and looks at her, a smirk on his face. He makes a gesture with his hand, and the clocktower behind him explodes. So does much of the building complex they're both in.
We get the episode title, and it's back to Yohji and his lady friend. She wants to know who he is. CIA? MI6? [James Bond, anyone?] Yohji replies that he's just a normal guy who fell head over heels for an evil woman like her.She is not impressed, and fires three shots. Misses all three. She asks again. What is Yohji? He replies that if he tells her, they can't go back to the way it used to be. Is that fine with her? We catch a glint of his watch. She seems to get an idea, but Yohji yells at her to shut up before she says what she's thinking. It doesn't matter. She fires again. Yohji vaults over her, and lands behind her, trapping her in his wire in the process. She tries to fire as Yohji pulls the rope taut, but she is out of bullets. Instead, she jokes. What should she call him? The White Hunter? Weiss? Yohji says to call him by his last name. Or how about 'darling' for a change? The lady gets to business, saying how this is only one of their facilities, and it's loss means nothing to Esset. Yohji names off four schools controlled by Esset, including Kouwa. Then he hints that Weiss has controll of Epitaph. The key to opening it's doors is at this facility. Another explosion.
We are shown a control room of some sort, where more G-class students are trying to deal with the situation. One of them becomes aware of a figure in the doorway. It's Ken. He's trying not to snicker. The G-class wants to know who he is, who busted in alone and with no visible weapon. Ken laughs. He talks about having a whole bunch gathered in one room. A G-class pulls out a knife and demands to know who Ken is. He says it won't do them any good, and makes fists, exposing his claws. They're going to die, anyway. Ken charges.
There is a voice over of Yohji talking to his lady friend. Weiss' mission was to expose and get rid of the european segment, which Yohji says is complete, except for her, head of the facility.Yohji accuses the lady of making HIM the villain, calling her by her name. It's Michelle. They engage in a philosophical argument over who the good guys really are, and the visuals return to them. Yohji asks 'chelle to come away with him, but she says he's not good enough to replace Esset. He tries again, telling her to never let him see her again, so he won't have to kill her.She tells Yohji that she loves him.. enough to kill him. She raises her gun, but Yohji pulls on the wire. THe gun flies from her hands and she sinks to the ground. Yohji retracts the wire and walks away, with tears in his eyes. Chelle isn't dead, and lunges at Yohji, slapping and kicking him around for a bit. She ends up having Yohji in a stranglehold (there's a twist). Yohji manages to wire her gun, and pulls it back to his hand. He fires three shots, and doesn't miss. Chelle is persistent, and lunges at Yohji again. Yohji likens themselves to members of the Capulets and Montegues: ill-fated lovers. They jump off the building, headfirst.
A cup of coffee crashes to the ground, and Omi looks up from his monitor. Looking back to it, he continues his work. He's trying to hack into something, but he can't do it without the data that Yohji and Ken are supposed to be getting from Europe. Omi glances of a picture on his desk, a shot of the four guys from their days in the flowershop (with the Glühen chara designs) IN the end, he puts it face down on his desk. There's no going back to those days.
At Weiss' apartment, Aya is at the counter, peeling an apple. Sena is at the table, thinking about Nozomi-chan and Kyou. He's startled when Aya puts his hand on the boy's shoulder and offers him the peeled and sliced apple. He accepts it, but drops the plate, and Aya picks it up. He starts to talk about the morality of being Weiss. Sena insists that he still has a reason to fight.
Flashback to a house, where a girl lies dead. A younger Sena recognises it as his Neechan. A man's voice yells at him to run, calling him "Takeru" A gunshot, and the man is dead. Sena comes face to face with the shooter: his mother, who then shoots Sena.
Back to the apartment. Sena tells Aya of a talk he had with Rex about Kyou's brother, and how everyone in Weiss has their sob story. He ends up with a statement that real Weiss members have no weaknesses: he has no right to call himself Weiss. Aya stands up, the broken plate in his hand. If Weiss have no weaknesses, then he has no right to call himself Weiss, either. He walks away to dispose of the plate. Struggling with one's humanity is what being Weiss really is. He tells Sena his real name, saying that Ran is the one talking. If Sena wants to quit, he should do it now, while he still can. There will come a time when he can't do that anymore. Ran won't stop Sena if he decides to leave.
Back to the burning compound in europe. The G-class in the control room are all dead, and Ken is downloading information into a palm-pilot. A door slides open. It takes Ken down a flight of stairs, to a door labeled "Z-class". Ken goes through the door, to another room full of dead G-class. His heart rate increases. What happened there, and why did they reveal the room to Ken? Ken threatens to kill the one responsible, but a voice tells him that he's not pure enough. Ken doesn't take that well..
Yohji is hanging by his wire on the side of the building. No Chelle in sight. He lets himself down to the ground, and realizes he's injured his arm. It's busted, or dislocated or something. Chelle's body is in front of him. He notices a necklace he once gave her, and as he goes to admire it, Chelle grabs Yohji's arm, and shoves him. He goes flying into a nearby wall. She makes another Romeo and Juliet reference, saying Romeo dies, but Juliet awakens from her sleep. That's when Yohji realizes that Chelle is a Z-class member. Chelle sends him flying again, but when he gets up, he doesn't attack. He just speaks: "I'm sorry I've lied to you so many times. But those words weren't lies." He mouths a word with three syllables (Aishiteru, presumeably). Chelle stops dead in her tracks. Yohji takes out a little silver box, and presses a button. The wall beside Chelle blows up, taking Chelle with it, but we get a shot of her face, and she looks happy. Not long after, Ken joins Yohji, and they leave.
At Kouwa, the day begins with Aya dictating a report to Persia. Since Kyou's death, two weeks prior, the students are starting to act like normal kids again. They have a new principal, and the classes were reorganized. S-class and G-class were disbanded. Aya enters the staff room to see a couple students fawning over the new art teacher. Tsuji-sensei doesn't approve of it, and she tells Aya. Halfway though her rant, Yohji decides to introduce himself, and asks Tsuji-sensei her name."Tsuji" he tells her. Yohji asks for her first name, but Tsuji-sensei looks away and says nothing. Yohji says he hopes they'll get along. Aya introduces himself, and then Yohji does the same.
Shot of a soccer ball flying through the air, disturbing some papers. They belong to a professor. Ken helps the prof gather his papers, and apologises, not without pocketing some papers for himself. The prof leaves, saying something about "college students these days". Ken's friends call out to him, reminding him that he owes them lunch. (The impression I get is that he bribed them to konk the prof so he could get the notes. They think they're test answers. Ken says they're just project plans for taking over the world, and boots the ball.)
Shot of Aya's classroom. In a voiceover, he continues his report. Siberian and Balinese are now on the board.
