As of Easter 2000, I'm a newly baptised, confirmed and communicating Roman Catholic and am absolutely loving the sacramental life. This coming from a former fundamentalist charismatic-turned-post-evangelical. It's been quite the journey. I believe that there's a lot of wisdom and good spiritual stuff in other places though: I agree with some (not all) of the principles of the Course in Miracles. This is published by the Foundation for Inner Peace so go check out what the Course has to say about peace, love, and the real meaning of forgiveness, and who we are. Or join one of the on line study groups at the Miracles Center. One of the major exponents of the Course's philosophy, and whose books have been helpful to me, is Marianne Williamson - now residing at the Church of Today in Michigan.
For daily inspiration, I read Unity's Daily Word - much better for you than horoscopes; and I am just starting to really get into the book Conversations With God. Do make sure you check out The Holy Joe's Web Page, which is the church that kept my faith alive for a long time. They meet in a pub, on a Tuesday night. And, for all appreciators of the slightly more ridiculous side to some of the evangelical Christian world, check out Ship of Fools (includes the % likelyhood of the rapture taking place this week...)
I have recently discovered Psychosynthesis therapy, which links the body and mind and spirit.. intriguing stuff, especially their work on sub-personalities..I highly recommend the books by Hal and Sidra Stone.
In the meantime, as a linguist, I am generally into words and their
meaning.. so check out the
Word a Day
site, subscribe to their mailing list and improve your lexicon.
And of course, don't pass up the chance to learn a new lightbulb joke. Or, also in the realm of humour, check out this bizarre and yet somehow satisfying web site... and don't miss Michael Jackson or Captain Kirk on there too!
If you're curious to discover your personality type, you can take either (or both of) the Myers-Briggs test (I came out as an INPF) or the Enneagram analysis.(I'm a classic 2 with a one wing, though moving towards 4).

You can go from here to look at resource listings, or the music page, or alternatively, Lesbian Resources or visit my friends.
Or else... it's back to the home page
