I am 37 years old today. How the time goes by - have not

accomplished much in life yet.

Overturf came and we left Pineville at 2 P.M. for the Dalles. A

long drive ahead of us.

Sunday, November 08, 1903

Got to the Dalles at 4:30 P.M. Glad the driving part of our

journey is over.

Monday, November 09, 1903

Took the steam boat down the Columbia River and got to

Portland at 3:30 P.M> once more the trip took about as long

again as we thought it would.

Wednesday, November 11, 1903

Started for Seattle. got there at 7 P.M. found Mary's house all

right, and not seen Will for nearly 7 years and Mary for nearly

two years. Stayed 4 days with them and the 16 started for

Kalispell Mont. Got there the 17 found Joe took dinner with

them and went out to see Jim & stayed all night with them.
