I went out to St Cloud and gave Martin a mortgage on my 80

acres of land for $150.00 payable at time in ?? at ten per

cent interest this is the first mortgage that I ever gave and I

hope it will be the last one too. I gave it in order to buy a

horse.

Monday, February 04, 1889

I bought a horse. Paid $100.00 for her this is the first horse

that I ever bought got her off E. Brown.
